JMHO, but there isn't any tax advantage to living in the U.S. -- the highest Federal rates go up to almost 40% on income, and most states tack on somewhere between 4-8%. The states that don't have an income tax make up the difference in other ways, net asset taxes, higher sales tax, various...

Can't blame the participants - they're just maximizing their benefit. If the players don't do whatever they can to screw the owners, they'll receive the screwing instead. And vice-versa. The blame, if there is any, rests on the fans that tolerate it, that pay the exhorbitant ticket prices...
