If you really need professional rates to be profitable, you probably don't have an edge. 80 cents a round turn should have a very small effect on your PL. That is the only clue I need to tell you to go back to the drawing board.

I guess I am not understanding you description very well. Has your forward testing along side your trades shown a decrease in profits also?

I have been trying to add some position sizing based on volatility, but every time I try to add even the most optimistic sizing, it reduces profit and sharpe ratio. Anyone had any luck with volatility sizing increasing system performance?

I'm not a stock guy, but I believe that when posting trades outside of market hours, i think the nbbo rule are off. so the prices might even be available somewhere, but you might not be seeing/getting them.
