    Bollinger BS

Statistically 3 Standard Deviations would put prices within the band 99% of time but more than a few times prices just touch the band limits and keep of going in same direction which I call 'Sticking to the Bitch' movement. Bollinger recommended using 2 Standard Deviations for 95% probability...

    Fibonacci

By the way pro Fib folks, Ray Merriman has done lots of research on Fibs, EW, Gann etc. and is well respected in his findings. I do not have his website but would strongly recommend him to those who feel confident using the fibs.

    Fibonacci

The problem is currently folks are having problems, and that too not always, in projecting the future Fib targets and turns but when you look in the retrospect the Fibs behavior can be well understood and explained. I myself do not use Fibs but am waiting for something real substaintial that...

In addition, our bodies grow in the Fibonacci ratios and shows how strongly the numbers are behind everything around.

    Fibonacci

The problem with Fibs is that it is not a totaly solved science. The day someone cracks this code, they would not only rule the markets but also the whole world. Fibonacci behavior is behind the moving of the planets which influence our every breath. All planets are within our bodies as...

Real Estate will not meet the same fate as Tech.

Every asset class has its own cycle, so one cannot say that real estate will correct only by 20% while tech sector corrects by 78%. When trading or investing do not develop opinions, market is your phrophet, play as the price says not what the predictions opine.

    Everyone is attacking Hedge Funds

I wonder how investors make money in hedge funds: Short term profits take away 30%, management fees inlcuding incentive is 22%. Thus if the fund returned 20% then you give away 5% to management then another 4.5% to Uncle Sam netting 10%. Is it worth the risk?

    These Larry Williams systems..?!

Larry Williams is a fine name in the market, he comes with good ideas and long lasting interpretations of the market behavior. However, curve fitting and reverse engineering the trade also seems to be his tools and that is why you won't see real time real money trades from him. Most of the...

Real Estate is dying? Investment-wise what is the next Asset Class Du Jour?

Also my experience from predictions and forecasts is that despite heavy instituitional money involvement markets are still inefficient. This means that analysts can still forecast various asset and their underlying cycles adn these predictions can be put to work unless you have several billions...

Real Estate is dying? Investment-wise what is the next Asset Class Du Jour?

Buy the commodity stocks or index funds in commodites and hold for 10-15% returns a year. This do until 2008-2009. Best to do commodity index funds. Also try to time the QQQ stock on long and short side, taking 10-15% is easy, but remember RESPECT THE MARKET, i.e. do not overtrade!
