    Bay Area Real Estate Market

Thanks. Someone told me recently that the cities south of San Diego in CA are betterthan the San Diego area. She mentioned Lagna Niguel. What other great cities are in that area? Thanks again.

    Today's BONDS!

The volatiltiy in all markets save for the indices is so excessive, it is almost scary. Volatility is supposed to be a trader's best friend but......

    Yen

The yen is quickly becoming a crazy market. One must be quite careful, very deft, seeking only good risk-reward oportunities. But that should be the case with all trades, all markets at all times! As I read this I remembr what a senior trader friend once told me: "Many careers have been made...

    Today's BONDS!

I'm no economist but my Joe Public measure of inflation shows that we are in an inflationary environment. So it just may be the government deceives us with its flawed CPI/PPI? What do you say Doc? Thanks for the insights on stock prices vis-a-vis deflation/inflation, quite wise.

Dr. Z - has some "urban soul" waxing about "gett'n jiggy wit it" and "let's get it on". Who would know, we have a "cool Doc" in "da house"!!

Are you happy with your career?

Once again another great post from Aaron. I fully agree - that trading can vacillate from being the best profession to the worst in minutes. But with time you find emotional balance. I'm happy I'm a trader!

    Currency futures rollover?

I believe it's sometime this week. It is usually after the last trading day for options which was on Friday march 5th, 2004. Personally, I consider June front month effective trade date March 8.

    MSO: Halted & Guilty

yes, there is a lot of schadenfreude here. I confess prior to the case I was not sure of her guilt but I felt she could be guilty. I was also alarmed at how EVERY oneI spoke to seemd to dislike (actualy hate) her. I also felt that if she was guilty she should plea-bargian quickly. As the...

    MSO: Halted & Guilty

Unless she jumped the line to ask for her discount (which would be rude), she did nothing wrong in this incident. The fact that you are a centimillionaire is no reason to throw away money or act laissez faire about your wealth.

    YM Untradeable?

I belive the original poster's point is that the YM order execution platform just makes traidng more difficult- not impossible, just difficult and maybe for some trading styles- difficult enough for a trader to decide to use an alternate vehicle e.g. ES/NQ.

    YM Untradeable?

Yep... I concur. It is quite sad as YM is a great swing trading vehicle, save for the E-CBOT specific order execution problems. When they first launched it the initial problem was liquidity. Just as liquidity was picking up, they stifle the contract's viability with a poor execution...

    San Diego vs. Boca Raton/Miami

I've always thought of San Diego and Boca Raton/Miami as domestic dream locales for independent traders/hedge funds. However, San Diego seems overly expensive, even compared to NYC. Apart from the beautiful weather is there a vibrant social scene there compared to NY? Any other insights...
