    Total for 2006.

Here in Europe we say: "One doesn't talk about money. One has it." And it really doesn't matter what amount. I don't gamble with prop shop leverage of 100 or so, and it's enough for a decent living.

Heaps of Euros. And a portfolio volatility as low as 10%.

    Question on a warrant trade..

I would suggest to exit with trailing stops, 30%-40% of the purchasing price. Seems to be a lot, but you should trade small positions, of course.

Has getting a job improved your trading?

"Has getting a job improved your trading? " Absolutely no! I worked at a "real" job for 3 month. Though my boss allowed me to watch at the markets temporary, i lost my whole intuition and had the worst drawdown since 1997.

GDP Growth in real terms: No. GDP Growth in nominal terms: Yes.

    conspiracy theory: government price manipulation

How viable is this approach with warrants?

The spreads between bid and ask are costs and go always against you. Don't accept more than 3-4% at warrants as long as you didn't have years of successful experience. A Newbie should start with warrants ITM or at least ATM. And have a look at the BAR chart! Could still be a bull trap.

How viable is this approach with warrants?

16% implied vola is cheap, but 20% bid ask spread is very expensive.

market is happiest when oil and commodites are tearing up

makes a lot of sense: M3 goes up -> inflation, M3 goes down -> no inflation.

    Gold/silver A Bubble - Yes Says...

Yes, they are the most important Gold and Silver dealer at least in Germany since Degussa left that business and focussed on chemistry. Maybe Heraeus is 150 years old, but I doubt Helmut has 150 years of experience :p .

    How do you pay yourself?

Mostly 0.5% of my assets a month. Sometimes more for major purchases. The rest of the profits has to be saved for longer-term drawdowns.
