May be stating the obvious but SPX finally broke EMA 20 - EMA 50/monthly pivot at 952-960 is a reasonable target for shorts and also still allows "them" to maintain the uptrend. Currently flat but looking to get short at slightly higher levels.

You really need to find what works for you - placing the stop at the same time as the limit is certainly an option. If you are going to be away from the screen while in a position, having open stop and target orders can be a disaster unless one cancels the other when executed. If you are new...

Nice LC. This may be a silly question but is the VWAP you use calculated on a 1-day timeframe?

Tough to pick tops in this crazyness but SPX monthly and weekly R2 clustered around 988 as well as resistance from November just above that. But not much confidence right now so I'll just grab some puts if it reaches that zone.

Hmmm is my sentiment too Decel :) A bounce to the SPX 915 region will be a 61.8% retrace of the recent downmove and will put it right at the MA's resistance and the overhead gap. Trading wise I don't really care but with Sept. puts in place I would prefer just down! Good trading!
