    Real FX conversion in IB

Think they only do it for when you're buying a security denominated in another currency. If you want to take delivery and fully swap the currency out, then you'd need an account receiving it in the right currency... or physical delivery. For that, your best bet would be a currency transfer...

    Dollar Sell Signals

Yeah, the EUR/CHF play is an interesting situation. In another thread, a trader with IB is being charged through the nose to carry a long on the pair just above the peg. My broker gives positive carry on a long, so I'd be paid to wait if I wanted to bet the peg holds... but I don't want to...

    broker bankrupt: currency futures safe???

Only if the broker is CIPF insured. They aren't required to be a member to deal in Canada, but it goes hand in hand with IIROC so most are. Just to be clear, there are a few non-CIPF insured brokers out there in Canada... but all the big names are covered (Oanda, FXCM.ca, etc..)

    usdcapital

... Seriously? Wow. Ok. If your local currency is not the USD and you have USD cash accounts or USD based investments, then you can hedge your currency exposure in the markets should you not want to be exposed to currency rate risk. Could be done in a number of ways... most...

    trade the E-micro EUR/USD M6E ?

It's a nice feature to trade over the weekend but most of the time it's not very advantageous to do so. There's often no movement, and when there is (interbank dealing starts earlier than 5pm EST on sunday so you can see price movement as early as noon EST) the spread is too wide (illiquid...

Best broker for small accounts, active trading and tax support?

US taxes? IRS? Most brokers will provide detailed statements but leave tax calc's up to you.

    trade the E-micro EUR/USD M6E ?

AMP does list a free version of NT on their site that has a bunch of features cut out. Still, not bad.. and even if you had to lease it for the full feature set NT is one of the few platforms I'd say is worth it.

    trade the E-micro EUR/USD M6E ?

I do feel you're not properly accounting the spread cost in M6Es.. but I'm just going to drop it. I mean, apples to apples right? Clearly you're happy with the micro setup through AMP... and that's cool, I'm just trying to be helpful with your total cost, or at least shedding light on things...

    trade the E-micro EUR/USD M6E ?

Thank you. I don't trade micros myself so I was going by what seemed correct given my experience with eminis. I tried looking it up on AMP's website before posting to double check but couldn't find a listed fee schedule (they just have a forum to request a fee quote when you click on...

    trade the E-micro EUR/USD M6E ?

Great point, do consider the CFTC and NFA's action against brokers: http://www.nfa.futures.org/basicnet/ Oh wait, notice something? Oanda doesn't have a single action against them by the CFTC or NFA... Go ahead, search them... There are always bad apple brokers, same as in...

    trade the E-micro EUR/USD M6E ?

Err... ok, let's back up a bit. I personally haven't experienced the issues you just described, nor has many other traders I personally know who use Oanda. I've seen a few people say such things, but more often than not they are just trying to spread fear about the broker. But I don't care to...

    Forex trading using D'Alembert?

I'm not describing anything... I was reiterating what the OP said. I do not advise anyone use martingale, and my post made it clear the system would bust out given pretty simple probabilities. Just to be clear. To me, martingale is a 4-letter word.

    Forex trading using D'Alembert?

His specific question was on a betting strategy that increases risk with each loss and decreases risk with each win. No 'context' or system was mentioned on how he takes a trade. Assuming a random signal, random result (no edge.) A 1:1 risk to reward (OP said 100 pips TP and 100 pips...

    trade the E-micro EUR/USD M6E ?

The worse slippage and fills are going to add up over time, even with a long term time horizon. Why make it harder on yourself? Oanda is a great choice.. don't think it's too much trouble to deal with a 2nd broker, as you should always be using the best tool for the job, especially when the...

    Forex trading using D'Alembert?

If the amount of time you're doing this == infinity, then I could say with a 100% certainty that you'd bust out your account. That isn't my opinion. That's the math of it. (Food for thought: On a 50/50 probability strategy, the chance of 10 consecutive losses within a 50 trade sample is ~4%.)

Does anyone knows how much can I possibly make a day in the FOREX market with $2500?

I noticed the two threads with nearly the same title by nearly the same member name... and both (including this one) are full of complete nonsense by the OP and other posters.
