Where did that channel come from? Do you have pre market on your chart?

Im not sure what rules you are following, but there has to be more to it. Entering on a Pt3 and exiting on RTL break will lose everytime, think about it. There has to be another exit point, ftt perhaps?

just a thought... all those trades went atleast 2 pts in your favor before you held on way too long. You had that one entry on the ftt that didnt work out, but you should have made atleast 6 pts.... why not work on your exits?

I really wouldnt be too concerned with it. I have 'eh, whatever' at <10k, then 10-25k is all pretty much the same, then over 25k is a money making jamboree...

~FWIW~ I think this is your only problem. This clearly says 'predicting' to me. You were predicting that the downtrend would continue, which for whatever reason it obviously did not. If you decide to stick around, my advice is to just relax a little bit. I have tried this and has done...

could not agree more, carving turns with SS is similar to plumb bobbing your putts... gives pros an edge, makes amateurs look silly

hey bi9foot... I can definitely relate to your trouble during this section. However, I dont think you will find the answer to your question. In my opinion you did nothing wrong, except get caught up trading at a steep channel RTL, which is always sticky. This is similiar to a question I...

actually, stare at the writing underneath the gif for a while, while keeping her in your peripheral and she'll change directions, this is really giving me a headtrip

I always look to the 1m ES to enter at the beginning of the day. As far as I know, this has nothing to do with the method laid out here, it just helps me get a better gaussian feel before the first 5min bar finishes. Sometimes it helps, sometimes not. Today I saw a flat bottom pennant on the...

Thanks for your input, but Im not sure what you mean by ' a different path ' . Like you mentioned in an earlier post, drawing in the optimal turns on your res. level and comparing with your own action points seems the best way to improve. There has been no mention of trading here really so I...

Daily Range = 10 pts Yellow Arrows = 33 pts Although I didnt make near that, I wouldnt be surprised if quite a few people did. It's not even near the finest resolution level :D

Was kind of wondering if there was a certain % of the bar that needs to be retraced to qualify or not. Perhaps Im getting too technical, but I dont see any other way to differentiate between a VE that comes back a good bit or a LTL bounce? I was also thinking that the bounces were why my...

Im glad you brought this up... I seem to always be in this predicament. You never know if the retrace will go all the way to the RTL, half way, just a couple quick bars, etc. I try to wait for an ftt of the retrace tape, but that very rarely works. This is why I am looking forward to the...

Curious as to your thought process on these 2 trades, not sure if Im reading your log correctly... The first one you went short on the retrace, kinda near where you'd expect it to resume the upwards dominant traverse ?? Second one you hopped back in long on the dom traverse and got caught...

Totally lost .. :( Did anyone make sense of the action so far? Split bars, no clear dominant, cant even begin to draw gaussians in, formations being violated for no apparent reason. I would avoid these situations if I knew how to anticipate them, is this possible?

I have noticed your charts getting less and less detailed. Is this your preferred resolution level?

Im sure everyone knows what to do when the sequences unfold how they are anticipated. The mucky grey area that is the key to figuring it out, in my opinion, is when to <u>know</u> the sequence is invalidated. There are alot of things that come up that dont go according to plan, but dont...

definitely looks clearer the way you have it drawn. Had I started a new down channel at 10:00 (or 10:10) like you have, that probably would have helped a great deal. Instead, I kept fanning the red lined channel you have drawn in...

hmm.. what the hell happened this morning. We start off with a blast in the dom direction, followed by a picture perfect retrace, and then an hour of nonsense. I find it very hard to stay focused during times like these, and of course I missed most of the resumption of the uptrend. How do you...

lol.. it is ironic that quite a few of us that have been here for the long haul have reverted back to the basics. I recall on about 97 occasions Spyder saying how harmful it would be to take on finer tools before you were ready. I guess sometimes you just have to figure that out on your own...
