VOX, You'll notice that I stated the product as a %figure which implies .125

    CFA vs MBA??

Maybe this CFA studying is going to the brain, but wouldn't this just be the pass rate at each level multiplied times one another? so roughly: 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 = 12.5%

    Options Software

Yup. No charge from here on out....2 things that I don't like about TS: 1. No historical implied volatility graphs 2. No ability to run an options search on a large set of underlyings (unless you type them all in... :( )

    Women on the wall street

That's a hard comparison to make (and I hope I didn't give the impression that I was making it). It all depends on the volatility of the underlying and access to leverage. Return on capital employed is going to be wildly different for a tech stock vs. eurodollar futures vs. currencies...and...

    Question on using Fibonacci Retracements

When I use fibs...which is a minority of the time: 1. look for a cluster of 3 or more (as mentioned above) 2. wait for confirmation (price to move in the expected direction) 3. view it is a form of establishing risk/reward parameters rather than predicting where price will go. In other...

Use priceline...ask for a 5 star hotel...you can pick your neighborhood. Not sure what the area is called but where the Cathederal, Fairmont, and Mark Hopkins Interncontinental is on California Street, is a really nice area. I used Priceline and got a very nice room at the Regency on the Upper...

Which is More Profitable - Swing Trading or Day Trading?

Kiwi, I agree with you to a point. However a day-trader places an artificial time stop (end of day) on their trade. This may limit what may turn into a bigger trade if they had held over night. The very definition of "day trade" means that the risk/reward is skewed somewhat by a time...

Looking for a Top Trading Prop Firm

Try the search button on the upper right. There have been plenty of discussions about this.

What kind of stops do you use?

I guess it also really depends on: 1. What type of trader we're talking about...day traders will have totally different stops than position traders 2. Stock price. A "1 point stop" on a $10 stock is completely different than a 1 point stop on a $50 stock

    Schonfeld on CNBC

it was actually pretty lame...just said that he has a bunch of traders all trading different strategies with firm capital. ...the whole bit was "is prop trading coming back"?
