Selling delta 3-5 ES Puts with 40-57 days left

Don't get too distracted with "Edge", it means nothing. Even the people who use the term can't define it - but it looks good in posts. :)

What's your "edge" ? Without an "edge" you are SOL. :)

Selling delta 3-5 ES Puts with 40-57 days left

"Edge" is an overused ET buzzword. It gets peppered throughout ET posts regularly. "Counterparty?" You initiated the trade so who cares about the counterparty. :)

    GOOG

What do you mean by "The first page is basically advertisement" ? I find Google search results to be very accurate and I rarely have to go to the 2nd page. :)

Recover a cash secured trade that went south - TNA

That's right .......... The OP's solution is in those four words - "What's your macro view?" There is no magic bullet. :)

The long strikes would be your maximum loss criteria. I assume these are all Credit Spreads. :)

Selling delta 3-5 ES Puts with 40-57 days left

The only practical exit strategy is to take both ATM and OTM short positions to expiry - for maximum loss or gain. The line between loss and profit is very narrow and that line can be crossed back and forth a few times. Exiting early can leave money on the table. :)

Selling delta 3-5 ES Puts with 40-57 days left

There is no advantage of selling ATM options compared to selling (D)OTM options for "premium". Even though the risk:reward is significantly different when the trades are opened over time and multiple trades the risk:reward will even out. :)

How do you diversify your trades?

The holdings of QQQ, DIA and SPY are very diverse. And will probably outperform any "DIY diversified portfolio". Pick anyone one of the three or all three. :)

Stop Loss When Selling Put Options

Stop losses on options are "as useless as tits on a bull". Buy an option and turn the trade into a Credit Spread for insurance when you open the trade. :)

    AAPL

Very pessimistic post. You've given up way too quick on the AAPL trade. You have to give it time to play out. One 3.75% news day will not make or break a trade that expires in two months. Remember .... You are an Investor not Speculator. Try and be more optimistic in the future. :)

Trading or Investing Instruments That Yield 100%+ Per Year On Large Capital?

No Someone who has $50-100 million would not be interested in some hairbrained strategy to generate 100% per year. :)

BAC Puts brought how to get out of it.

Market Value is the total value (unrealized) of the holdings based on the Current Price. Current Price could be the bid, ask, last sale, mid point - depends on the broker. My broker uses the ask on long option positions for the Current Price. Different brokers also might use different terms...
