this sounds familiar, the last guy had an anti-virus conflict with tws. try disabling your security / anti-virus software and then loading tws to see if thats the problem, you might have to reboot in between. if not right click the short cut icon, click properties, and tell me the target.

there is a check box in the order defaults configuration screen "allow order to be activated, trigged, or filled outside of regular trading hours."

please excuse my ignorance on this subject, but i noticed the bench mark on ES is only 4:1 can i be effected by the m/v ratio if i am trading ES manually through tws? maybe this is an api-only issue?
