Is it better to avoid Exotic currency pairs? Why?

Do you use pending orders? Also, if you compare the size of the spread to how much the price moves, you can see USDMXN's "spread" is pretty similar to common pairs like GBPNZD.

"How I Afford to Travel the World"

I've lived in 3 countries for a significant amount of time and I can attest that in the US, there are either very smart people or very dumb people. By dumb I'm talking about dumb as dirt and ignorant, offering almost no value. I know this because of the industry I worked in (I'd rather not say)...

It would be good to hear any insights or anything else so us retail traders can learn a thing or two. Thanks.

    Best simple Strategy Backtesting software?

Use MT4. There's a lot of support for it, tick data is free, scripts are free, and MT4 itself is free. It's not perfect but tick data testing using MT4 is the next best thing to forward testing on demo or live.

That's great but what about the little things that directly affect the retail spot Forex traders such as not being able to open an account with brokers in the UK, etc.

"How I Afford to Travel the World"

There are no better options here. The cost of living is very high and you pretty much have to grovel to get a $10 an hour job here even with college education. The minimum wage in some states is $7.25 an hour while the average cost of an apartment in that same state is $1200 a month. If YouTube...

Is it better to avoid Exotic currency pairs? Why?

It really depends on your strategy. I've never traded exotics but pulling up a USDMXN and USDTRY for example and scrolling back in chart history, my strategy would have worked just as well. This week, I'll be adding those pairs to the mix.

Trading FOREX at home and winning big!

More importantly, one would need money. Most of us spot Forex traders are trying to trade with $200 to $5000 accounts. If we're lucky, it's $10K. It takes money to make money...

Donald Trump Plans to Undo Dodd-Frank Law, Fiduciary Rule

Any idea what this fiduciary rule change or other changes in the works might lead to in terms of US traders being able to create accounts with better-regulated offshore spot Forex brokers? Is there any hope of changes there?

I wonder if they're really just running a demo account internally. In any case, based on the leverage and their requirements, it's just not practical, for me anyway.

    80% of the time

It's difficult to give a meaningful answer because the question itself is ambiguous and really depends on who is looking at it and at which angle or timeframe you're observing the market. You're experiencing the market through your eyes and what may seem like a ranging market, by someone else's...

No, I'm not an affiliate or any promoter. It seems the crowd here is much smarter than ForexFactory so I didn't think to clarify that to this fine group.

BluFX and Similar (getting money to trade)

Anyone heard of https://blufx.co.uk? Apparently they fund you with a 50K account for a monthly subscription fee. I don't know what the leverage is. Their platform is proprietary and not MT4 or MT5. Are there other similar companies?
