When the limited up/down of a futures is triggered, is trading still going on but the price cannot move further? Is it only common in the commodities?

Just want to know the guys in ET are big or small players. It seems most of us are small or tiny traders!:D

There are some millionaires in ET. I always think there should be some people make a fortune by trading. May be less than 0.01% in the whole population. :D :D :D :D

I experienced the same. I feel it is quite smooth in the morning and easier to trade. But it usually doesn't have very long trends. Most of them won't last longer than 20 minutes, usually less. Do you also trade the Bund? I feel it has similar behaviour.

How much trading capital do you have?

An old trader told me, to survive in the futures market, I must keep more than enough cash reserve in my a/c. So even the market suddenly crashed, I could still survive. He suggested at least 3 times the initial margin for one contract. For day trading NQ, if I keep $10,000(=500 points) for...

It has less than 10 years records. Is it reliable? LTCM also had 3 profitable years before it crashed.

To summarise it, IB is good for commissions and speed. Just don't expect any good supports or customer services.

Did they say how many traders can survive?

Did any one tried the Swiss SMI Futures? Is its liquidity OK? Slippage?

Why does it suddenly become smooth? It was well-known for its volatility. It seems the behaviour of each instrument can change from time to time. No method can be used forever!

The NQ seems to be very quiet. Where are its fans? Are the people shifting to the ES or other futures??

Recently I hear quite a lot of people, including some psychologists, suggest if we want to be big ,we should think big . If you think small, you will be nothing. If I think I could achieve 10,000% return per year, would I get it?:D
