    eurodollar futures

this is a bankers market and bankers love technicals (easier to comprehend than fundamentals most of the time :)). That said, I think the downside is about over and extended with a sharp floor at 30. I'm a buyer.

Dec/Dec is fun trade as bankers have considerable refunding needs in December. Sounds like you did real well PohPoh. I think the downtrend has more to go and well get back to to the mid 40's real soon.

Colorado - the good, the bad and the ugly

Colorado - the good, the bad and the ugly

Denver metro is actually a nice town and very livable. Easy to get around with a free trolley that runs through town and one of the maid drags (actually where the trolley runs) is a pedestrian mall. If you like sports, its hard to beat watching a Rockies game at dusk and looking out to the...

Would The Fed Cut Rates This Close To Election

The Fed certainly could cut rates this close to the election. They would never raise rates this close. Raising rates would effectively crush the standing president and his party as rate hikes hurt the public ability to attain loans and increased the floating rate payments (not just mortgages...

What would you call this option strategy?

That's a 1:2 ratio spread but you're selling it not buying it. All exchanges name the options spreads (strategies) from the buy side perspective.

    Charting

what don't you like about xstudy? it's free, fast, and shows true spreads (bid-bid / ask-ask, not last to last). i'm an old coot from the floor and don't understand what y'all need from a chart other that.

    Anyone trades FX Options?

Unless you're throwing around considerable size, cash dealers will eat your lunch if you're trading fx options through them. they have zero accountability. CME is making a move towards this market and now offer volatility based trading on fx / fx options. as this market matures (the exchange...

    TT vs. Ninja

"How do you exactly write or get data from the non-coalesced TT FIX Adapte?" In the FIX Adapter configuration file, just don't set the "coaliscing" parameter since its default is zero. Or if you do set it, set it to zero. To write to the TT FIX Adapter, you're going to need a FIX...

    TT vs. Ninja

HI WycoffTrader. I'm surprised by your statements. We're talking sub-millisecond differences here. How have you managed to measure this? Is it quantifiable? Can you give details on how the Ninja adapters work / differ from TT? ML_QUANT. We've noticed this as well at our shop. We're...

    X-Trader DOM Volume display

I use the volume at price indicator on xtrader all the time. the dom only holds vap for that session. to see older vap, look at vap on xstudy, their charting platform. vap on xstudy recalculates for the vap of all bars shown on the screen at that time.

Why are some stocks not shortable?

Your clearing firm has to have shares to cover you and often times, they cannot obtain them. There is a whole secondary market between bank back offices that deals with lending out shares. Some stocks either aren't liquid enough or are hoarded by various clearing firms. If you're clearing...

    Spread Trading Software

Consider this scenario: You're trading the GEZ8/GEH9 spread. GEZ8 is 9657.5 bid on 500 contracts with 100 contracts offered at 9658.0. GEH9 is 9638.5 bid on 450 contracts with 500 contracts offered at 9639.0. This implies a spread market of 18.5 bid on 500 with 100 offered at 19.5...
