I think you can predict the end of a trend. Nitro is on to something when he brought up volume. Volume steadily decreases.. the mkt begins to chop. A good indicator would be moving avg volume.. although I cannot produce it with quote.com charts.

In both the 1 and 5 min emini sp charts, I am finding great setups the price action is trendless. What do you use to determine whether the mkt is in choppy or trend mode?

I've been using both breakouts and moving avgs in my 5 min emini setups. I would say that in the past month, breakouts have been working better for me than moving avgs.
