If you are saying that Remiraz is right it is going to really freak me out. Rather then hinting around the issue can you just come out and say whether or not she is real person and not just a teaching aid.

    how low can PCs go?

I feel exactly the same way and did the same as you (used to build them myself from scratch, Abit & Asus motherboards). The last 4 computers I got I bought from Dell when they were on sale with coupons/rebates (SC400's). There was no way I could come close to putting together those systems...

Matrox just announced a great card...

DVI is suppose to give a cleaner picture and it makes sense in theory because it avoids the digital (in the computer) to analog (video card output) back to digital (at the monitor) double conversion. However in practice I agree its hard to see a difference. The monitors I use must have pretty...

    Big bad day, coming soon.....

Really? What are those rules? You don't think they would have been overjoyed if the twin towers coming down had taken out 30,000 people instead of 3,000? Folks I think you are really naive if you don't see that they are interested in causing the maximum amount of damage they can. You...

    Big bad day, coming soon.....

The genie is out of the bottle. Hoping that some nutjob never gets their hands on one isn't going to cut it. With less stable countries starting to develop nukes its only a matter of time IMHO.

    Big bad day, coming soon.....

Ever heard of lead? Care to enumerate those targets? One of the primary problems with fighting AQ is that there are no conventional military targets. Unless you plan on wiping out whole countries because there are handfuls of terrorists mixed in (can you say collateral damage?) Political...

    Big bad day, coming soon.....

I found this, dont know how accurate it is: http://www.rotten.com/library/crime/terrorism/terror-tactics/suitcase-nukes/ I didnt realize it until I started researching it but both the US and Russia moved away from large (high-yield) nukes long ago and instead have lots of little...

Matrox just announced a great card...

No problem, I couldn't find any 19" LCD that has a higher native resolution then 1280x1024 so for most folks it should be fine. Kinda strange that it wont support anything higher, I wonder if that its really a hardware limit or something they can fix via firmware update later on.

    Will this continue to work?

Those are excellent ideas as well although depending on the system type the fact that it doesnt work across different markets may not be a problem but just the result of the "edge" that the system exploits. But why choose? You can use the two techniques you listed *and* do partitioned...

    let's buy datas together

I wonder if they inject small custom errors (say, change the volume information for a single day by 1) so that they can determine if a data set published comes from their source. The only way to be sure would be to gather data from two indepdent data vendors and compare them - if they were...

    Will this continue to work?

It tells you much more than taking the data and optimizing across all of it and then declaring those results as meaningful (which is what I understood you did). If you curve fit to one set of data and then backtest against a second independent set and still get similar results then you can...

    Will this continue to work?

Divide your historical data into 3 sets, one to use to optimize your parameters/rules, once you have done your optimization use the second set to validate your results and if that looks good then run it against the last data set. Do not optimize/tweak on anything but the first data set.

Small nukes actually dont do that much damage, it would definitely hurt the US but it would be far from the end of it Nuclear Weapon Effects Calculator http://www.fas.org/main/content.jsp?formAction=297&contentId=367

Aren't you two sitting in the same house? The "communicating via public posts on ET" seems a bit odd IMHO. None of my business of course but I just felt it needed to be said.

Lying is an awfully strong word, I think it would be better to say that you have a different definition of gambling than I do. I would just caution you to be careful not to say that there is no gambling in your system because to me (and I suspect others) that implies no risk which I think we...

    Cash & Carry

I don't mean to get off on a tangent but that just doesn't make sense. That's like saying if you play slots, hit a big jackpot and then continue playing with your winnings only, that you are aren't gambling. Of course you are, the fact that earlier gambling paid off doesn't change the act...

I do not believe he has lost, it appears that his system has gained $7xx based on the data in the spreadsheet which all does appear to match up. Personally what I would love to see is for each day: Current trading acct NAV (including unrealized losses) Current positions of each pair...

Just so I'm clear, are you saying it will never be realized or that so far it never has been? What if you experience a major drawdown, how can you be sure that you won't be forced to realize it (unless you keep throwing money at it)? You have said that these 3 pairs you have choosen are...
