Percentage % of Get-Rich-Quick members on ET?

Planning 70 years ahead for a 30% per annum compounded return is a getting rich quick scheme in my book, so congrats if you succeed! 70 years... Really?!? Glad I don't have to look that far in the future. 5 to 10 years is all I care.

Percentage % of Get-Rich-Quick members on ET?

You sure took my comment personally! Never intended to be. I made a general statement questioning the usual responses I've read anytime a new and often inexperienced person posts about becoming a trader. More often than not they are disparaging comments.

I am new her and I am surprised by how negative and bitter many of the older timers are towards the new people. It's with great pains, long research, terrible stressed induced medical bills that one makes money trading, don't you know? How dare you think you can make money without paying your...

    TTS Status

I get the subjectivity. But filing taxes as a TTS is more complex than non TTS. Do I file as TTS and cross my fingers that it's accepted? And refile if it's rejected?

    TTS Status

I've been roaming the web in search of definitive answers on what it takes to gain TTS status. At times is seems far more complex than what I do and others it seems to match my profile. None of that would be important if there weren't such tremendous tax advantages to having the TTS status...

    Day Trading

Hi there, I'm also a new day trader and this is how I came to be and how I plan to go, if this helps: Moved out of the US to Singapore where my wife was relocated. Was going to start looking for a new job in supply chain (my line of work) after giving up a 6 figure income in the US, when covid...

Yes, I did and compared the data with my Webull account chart. It is incomplete and the website doesn't clarify if the paid subscription opens up all extended hours trades. I trade from Singapore so 4:00 am is 4:00 pm for me... much more manageable! I use my Webull account to exclusively...

Sorry, I just realize that you were just referencing my concerns about extended hours data. So basically we're talking $200/year for something that would meet my needs. A few things would need to happen before I commit to this, the first of which would be to get a TTS status! ;)

Np, I will use your referral if I buy into it. I just spent the last hour on their free trial and yes, it's the best graphical interface I've seen so far, Webull on steroids. However, I have concerns about their Extended Hours data, which somehow doesn't show all the trades and looking at...

Just looked at Tradingview...It looks great but wow, not cheap. $150 for basic account and $50/year for real-time NYSE and NASDAQ even with the free account... I do feel like I'm in a candy store and will try out the free account first to see what I'm really missing out!

    IB feedback

Actually I found it's not. TDA is 7 am to 8 pm, same with Fidelity or IB unless you get their Pro package for $10 a month. Trading is often free if a US resident but TDA charges $7 per trade here in Singapore, which is pretty outrageous for a day trader. What I mean by user friendliness and...

When do traders have to pay the taxes - is it quarterly or annual when filing the taxes ?

I also started trading recently as a consequence of covid-19. It has changed my life, for the better. I don't work and 95% of my income is short term capital gains so I knew I had to quickly figure out my taxes. What I summed up is: Go online to the IRS website and make quarterly payments...

I'm a Singapore resident trading US stocks (only). At this time I have accounts with TDA and Webull but looking for an alternative to at least Webull and maybe TDA if IB (for example) offers a better solution. I don't do anything sophisticated - stocks only- and at this time only one that I...
