    Advice needed about top traders!

Hey Nick. Why don't you just get a stake together and start trading the cross rates yourself? You could probably get 6-7K pounds in a year (and a summer internship). That's enough to trade spot currencies on most of the new fx "market-makers" like Gain Capital. A solid p&l would probably...

    S & P mini

Anybody actually trade these big lots? I'm confused as to whether it's better to try and get a flash fill on a couple of big contracts or just trade a lot more of the minis.

    NYC trading firms hiring?

We need an options ECN to really shake things up. And a little marketing on the industry's part wouldn't hurt.

    NYC trading firms hiring?

Appreciate it. Yeah, I've heard the environment is pretty bad. I still don't understand why there isn't more options trading in the current environment. Wouldn't people try and hedge their portfolios w/ options during a war?

    NYC trading firms hiring?

I'm in the opposite position of you I guess. I'm interested in joining up w/ an options market maker on the exchange floor or an off floor market maker. Can you throw out the names of some firms or give some advice on how to crack into this business? It seems like there are only a few spots...

    Chat Rooms - Trading oriented...

There are some vendors who disclose their full records. Check out www.sellnow.net/freesite. This guy trades the big S&P contract (just 1) and does very well with it. I seriously think he could rival Marty Shwartz if he just upped his size. Check it out. He gives a daily, monthly and yearly...

Just out of curiousity, what kind of fees are you going to charge your clients? Are you going to take a share of the profits? Is there a standard arrangement for hedge funds?

    Worldco LLC

I'm sure if many traders such as recent grads had 25K or more, Bright or Echo may be the better choice. But for someone just starting out, a $400-600 desk fee on top of losses and commissions can be a huge hurdle. What kind of size is a new trader going to trade anyway? As for your last...

Thanks for answering my questions. And my last question would be...what about training? Are you going to teach the new guys or is there a firm training program of any kind? Or is everybody kind of on their own?

Hey Hitman. Congrats on becoming a desk manager. I have a few q's for you. Are you doing the interviews for your team or is it somebody else? Is Worldco asking for any kind of capital contribution? What kind of payout schedule does a new (inexperience) trader get? And is there a draw? Any...

What does a position keeper do?

I think the math test is a crock. It's all about making the right decision in an instant. The computer does everything for you. They are on an electronic exchange after all. It's like they want Rain Man trading options for them. "Definitely sell...Definitely sell...Time for Wopner"
