What did you trade options on? If they were equity options then they are treated the same way as stocks and reported on Schedule D or D1, depending on your activity and number of trades. Your loss on the YM will be reported on form 6781, which flows through to Schedule D, then to your 1040...

It depends on the size of your account. If you are trading a 500k account then you're full margin at 1000 lots. Not good. However, if you're trading 50M then it's not really that big of a size. You're gonna get some serious slippage and partial fills with that kind of size in this market...
