Reversion To the Mean (RTM) Intraday Strategies

I'm not trying to take anything away from your strategy because there are many ways to skin a cat but I don't trigger unless we go to a new high or a new low, unless it is during the first 1/2 hour where the greatest volatility tends to occur and V-reversals are most likely. I'm...

Reversion To the Mean (RTM) Intraday Strategies

This is a good point. Your average loss will most likely exceed your average win but your aim is to offset that by a high win rate. You can't bat 50% and expect to win with this method. You need to do at least 80%. MR is not an easy method to trade but the primary reason I trade it is...

Reversion To the Mean (RTM) Intraday Strategies

A good suggestion. The market tends to ride the 2.5 BB. If the price penetrates deeply into the bands while it makes a sizable move away from the MA's then there is a high probability the price will revert. If you are not willing to sell a price that is pointing straight up or buy a price...

Reversion To the Mean (RTM) Intraday Strategies

LOL. lindq ain't giving nothing away. Try this.....throw a 20, 22.5, and 25 MA on the 1 min chart. During the opening hour watch and study how far the price moves away from these MA's. Develop a typical range based on your observations. When you that information buy or sell the move away...

This Is What Caused The Crash ---

This is what was happening at the peak of the housing market. Bubbles always end with massive speculation and massive leverage at the top. What is happening now really started back in the mid-90's when the FED began a very loose credit policy. It was very subtle back then and it was labeled...

Tipping point for the downturn regarding the US economy.

It will be the implosion of either the CDS market or the Credit Card market. The Credit Card market is estimated at $1T while the CDS market is estimated at $50T. Defaults in the CC market could trigger defaults in the CDS market. In 2009 and 2010 there are secondary waves of ARMs that are...

How much would you pay to *know* when the real estate bull market starts?

Only if that includes shipping and handling.

What does it say about someone when they repeatedly imply they have strong ethics?

Agree. Trust is earned with actions, not words and it takes a long time to develop trust.

    marketable track record

It has been my experience that an auditor will not audit historical brokerage statements. They want to have oversight during the process. If you want an audit you will have to contact a CPA firm and have them do it from Jan 1st forward, for example. If you are trading an individual...

    Credir card debt --staggering

Absolutely not TZ. If your debt to equity ratio is below 1 you are in sound financial health. If the rate of return on your projects exceeds the cost of capital it is a worthwhile project. This is business 101. What huh is doing is sound business especially considering he is using...

    Credir card debt --staggering

and....if BAC pulls one of those, "we're raising your interest rate to 28% because we want to" then I'll be on the phone to cancel the card and pay it off immediately.

    Credir card debt --staggering

Exactly right. CC debt is great if you have a top shelf credit rating. I have a BAC card with 16k on it that costs me 1.9% per year. In the meantime, I have that 16k in the market earning about 50% per year. Am I gonna pay off that 1.9%? Hell no! Plus, keeping at least one credit card...

Greedy wifes are the real cause of America economic crisis?

Ain't it the truth. And then they take all that Chinese made crap and store it in the garage and let $10,000's worth of automobiles sit out in the driveway.

The #1 Reason Why America will never recover

Well said NYX. Think about the perspective of a child. A child lives only for the moment and finds happiness in the moment. He/she doesn't worry about paying bills, impressing others with possessions, doesn't hold grudges, and seems to overcome all obstacles to stay in the now moment...

LOL. I got a good laugh out of that.

I remember when people did not perpetually lease or buy cars all the time.

I got 2 toyotas. One with 150k the other with 113k. Neither one has needed anything other than gas, oil, and tires. I'll drive them until they die on the side of the road or a wheel falls off. I figure that will be another 100k or so miles each.

In 20 Minutes The Fed Will Become Irrelevant

Perhaps Ponzi Scheme is a little harsh but I can't think of any positive way to describe a system that needs that next loan to support the last loan -- a system where money is created when a loan is created. If I had the time or desire I'd study the economic and monetary policies since the...

In 20 Minutes The Fed Will Become Irrelevant

The reserve requirement is obsolete. When a bank lends 40x what they take in the reserve requirement is meaningless. Even commercial banks can lend more than 90% of their deposits. The US does not operate on a Reserve Requirement system like they teach in textbooks. The US operates on a...
