    New stock_trad3r index

Not so bad? Dude, you bought the exact top of many of the stocks on this list and some of them have gone from over 100 bucks to 20 bucks. These freaking stocks are in "load the revolver" territory.

    Worse than the Great Depression

There are some compelling arguments that suggest the current financial crisis will be far worse than the First Great Depression. http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=10812

John Carter charges 25K per week per person for mentoring ???

I get Carter's nightly videos because they are actually quite good. He has a pretty good eye for the markets but it has "marketing" written all over it. If he can present a verifiable track record then it may be worth it to spend a week with him but you simply can't learn how to trade in a...

Are we in an obvious recession? Yes or No?

Aside from the initial drop, yes it was slow. It took 3 years for the market to bottom. See attached.

How much those 5% successful prop trader can earn

Exactly right. It's an old boys club where you get hired and trade if you come out of MIT as the stand out Quant in your class or you scrape by with a C+ average at XYZ State and daddy manages the trade desk and squeaks you in the back door. But, if you have a track record at Prop there's no...

Starter Account Size for Emini S&P?

Are you kidding? 1 contract per 50k? One of the attractions to trading futures is the lower capital requirements. That's like saying you can only trade 50 shares SPY with 50k. Why bother?

Reminder-- Most Corporations do not pay Tax to the USA

and....because of a tax return the government knows where you work, how much you have in the bank, how much you spend, how much debt you have, where you have your investments, and whatever else that isn't coming to mind. The government knows so much about a person based on that one little form...

Reminder-- Most Corporations do not pay Tax to the USA

They DO get the picture. Having a complicated and involved tax code is a method of control. If the government wanted to sway public opinion toward product X instead of product Y all they have to do is create some sort of tax incentive for you to buy product X. What will people do? They will...

The Liquidity Trap: American Consumer Capitulates

Not true because healthier food costs more than non-healthy food. Interpretation: People spending less on food because they can't afford higher priced, healthy food = fatter, unhealthy people. The $1 menu at MCD's has gone into hyperdrive.

Load up on Visa and Mastercard

Credit card companies cannot "easily recoup losses on delinquents because of the collateral of the card user" because credit cards are unsecured debts. Indeed, they go to collections but collection companies pay a fraction of the cost of the debt to acquire it. People who go into CC default...
