    Proprietary Trading at Investment Banks

I guess its a lot different over there in Europe. Prop trading at 16? Over here, its mandatory to have at least a bachelor's degree. And even that is useless unless its from an Ivy league school. I have a fairly high GPA from a decent university and most firms won't even look at me because...

    Proprietary Trading at Investment Banks

Go to school. Its a stupid piece of paper but everyone needs it. If you ever want to switch firms, etc. most companies won't even look at you without a degree.

    Remote ECHO Traders

Besides your $200 per month desk fee, internet, commissions, and haircut charges, what other monthly fees do you remote traders have to pay? Do you have to pay for execution or filtering/quote software or is that included? Any other hidden fees? Thanks in advance, :D

    Series 7 renewal

Could you please explain how we could be grandfathered in at Echo? I think I heard that if you were once a member of the PHLX and you joined another PHLX firm, then you could be grandfathered. Also, once your are 'grandfathered', do you have full privileges or are you a restricted member...

Domestic Securities? Anyone here trade for them?

Let me make it clear that I have no affiliation with Worldco. I just figured putting $0 down and getting between 80-95% payout would be better than putting $5000 down and getting a 50% split.

Domestic Securities? Anyone here trade for them?

If you're already in NYC, why not just go to WorldCo? If you've been at SLK and have experience, Hitman will hire you with no capital requirement and a decent commission rate.

    Becoming a backed trader

What licenses do you require? I've heard that taking the Series 62 then the 55 was an easier and less time-consuming route than taking the Series 7. Will you be able to sponsor incoming traders prior to them moving out west? Thanks, axe

Proprietary trader Commission % on profit

...at this horrible prop deal is because its from CANADA. I'm fairly certain that this is Swifttrade's standard offer to newbies. This is the kind of crap you can deal when you're ONLY prop firm in the country. (Its called a monopoly). Thank god for IB. 8 days and counting!!!

    Does anybody sponsor H1B visas?

I doubt any of the firms that require you to put up your own money will enable you to get an H1-B. You're technically a customer and you would probably fall under B-1 (6 month vistor pass), and possibly TN. I know some guys at Bright in Vegas and Detroit that are getting B-1 to trade. But...
