It wasn't. Someone wrote some AI that goes through a stock history and determined which indicator settings were most accurate to predict the best entries and exits.

Someone on here posted a website with backtesting software that they put together on a couple of different tickers; I was looking for the link to check it out, but can't find it. I mostly trade Options - 70% day trades and then 15% short term trades and 15% longer. Can anyone recommend the best scanner(s) used to find stocks with breakouts while they're happening? I'm looking around and see Scanz, FinBrain, Stock Charts, Stock-screener.org, StockMonitor, etc.. Thanks

I've been toying with these 3 in different ways to try and figure out how to utilize them during ranging to assist staying out of bad trades as well as during trending (since it'll be on all the time). Are there any tips/hints/guides that describe how to utilize them to minimize entering trades...

If you are using a short time frame and you have more trades that you keep jumping to the wrong side of it because it's ranging, you're losing money versus making small gains, unless you're able to pivot quick enough. ?

On the 1M chart, how are you staying away from Ranging periods? Easy to lose your money during those time periods.
