Just to add that it has obviously got ahead of itself in the short term on mainly foreign buying and that that Asian group consensus thing unanimously declaring Abenomics an immediate success and the start of a recovery before any measures would really flow through to the real economy. Flat and...

learner2007 they do come out vertically for me - test cut and paste into excel was fine. Thx. Much appreciated Likely to be focusing on Tokyo/Osaka as one of the few markets where there still seems to be stuff yet to come off LT bases and likely could trade independent i.e. uncorrelated with...

Agree, shame - if you know which way round to play it the best odds in the casino. The joke in Asia is that if you want to run a successful vendor seminar you don't call it 'trade like a pro', you call it 'trade like a politician'.

Investing in Vietnam stocks- anybody have experiences

Seems to be very complicated to open and set up account and hidden 'gotchas' - would like the benefit of others experience so I come across fewer hidden issues been in touch with three brokers - one required 3 copies of notarised passport, another requires only one but to repatriate your...

software for detecting changes in the order book across thousands of symbols

Not trading BAC = will be Asian tickers with low message number levels, but appreciate you bringing up that point - HFT is certainly around in Asia* but to a lesser degree and more expensive to do so would likely be focused on large liquid stocks - that said I have seen some strange price action...

software for detecting changes in the order book across thousands of symbols

Maybe this is better under 'programming' Want to know what is the best software for detecting changes in the order book across thousands of non US symbols. Probably not giving enough info but would likely need some kind of storage array of order book levels and the ability to compare...

1000-2000 symbols+ tick by tick data over ADSL - Bandwidth ? Your experiences?.

It SHOULD be cheap but in Thailand seemingly not, even though the state telco monopoly has been broken and ISP's can construct their own gateway and I assume pick their carrier. last time I checked (a while back) the state telco was using Teleglobe leased lines. Not sure of any reason to use...

1000-2000 symbols+ tick by tick data over ADSL - Bandwidth ? Your experiences?.

Hmmm, interesting suggestion - will follow up, but someone somewhere has to pay international bandwidth and I suspect that person will be me. I note your point about how much data you are streaming - gives me hope - but assume highly compressed? Point about eSignal is the money goes on...

    Tokyo/JASDAQ/Osaka stock charts/data

Not free , but maybe the cheapest that carries http://www.esignal.com/trading-software/livecharts-charting-tools.aspx?tc= Also Reuters datalink has an intraday updating capability with metastcok (but MS is so unergonomic I am not keen)

1000-2000 symbols+ tick by tick data over ADSL - Bandwidth ? Your experiences?.

Thanks to all - some interesting points - I think I will just have to try it and see how it works out - seems ADSL can handle it from answers above but I am expecting problems in TH as my 2.5MB local ADSL narrows right down to maybe 300k once you go international - also if the ISP is going to go...

Splitting a data feed between two or more PC's.

I was thinking primarily of eSignal - they allow multiple (maybe unlimited) socket connections - my desire was to run Multicharts witheSignal as the feed on a 64 bit installation but have a 32 bit program that won't install properly on 64 bit so would need to run on a separate 32 bit machine...

Top prop firm to top MBA?

If you can't get into a top school consider doing CFA to show you have a financial qualification. Not the same as having done a Wharton etc MBA, but next best maybe - although specialisation like MSc as others have stated might be better if you know you want to go into a specilaised field e.g...

Splitting a data feed between two or more PC's.

blah, I think they will do some of the checks above, but would like to know how I could do it physically - assume a LAN or somesuch, although it most likely will be a blind alley due to their almost certainly employing things above.
