To Throw in the Towel or Not to Throw in the Towel

Dustin, Thanks for the reply. No, I have never traded manually. The thing that I feel (and I'm sure I'm wrong) is that if you are trading manually you have to have a set of rules by where to buy and where to sell. What I don't understand is why can't you just take those rules and program...

    Fees: Commission, slippage, interest rate?

You always here about comission and slippage, but I never hear about the fee for the interest rate. If you buy 1 contract of the ES I know that commision is about 2.50 per trade in comissions and 12.50 in slippage, but what about interest? how is that calculated? Thanks

For all the guys who have winning strategies

Jack, 3 Questions? 1) Do you have automated strategies, or do you do it my hand? 2) Do you believe it is easier to trade 30 min / 60 min bars vs 1 min - 5 min bars? 3) When you say V leads P. I have spent a lot of time trying to come up with something. Is there a specific indicator...

For all the guys who have winning strategies

I heard from this guru that it is really not possible to trade of indicators alone. Like, it is very hard to base a strategy based on if fast moving average crosses over slow moverage average and RSI is something... the buy next bar. What he said, is that you base all your entries and exits...

I'm a user of trade station, and I've had some sucessful using my trend following system. The (2) markets that I want to beat, but I am not coming with anything successful are the YM, and the ES. One of the reasons why I believe this to be true is the the YM and the ES tend to be a bit...

Setting Profit Targets on a Trend System

The System that I designed is a Trend Following System. I am getting fairly good results, however the average win rate is about 40%. So as you can imagine you can with a win rate of only 40% you can have some lossing sessions. What I have read is that if you have multiple exit targets you...
