    Technical stop loss placement

Thanks. Yes, I already doubted if this is a pennant or not. But as for the rectangle: The problem that I've got with this rectangle is that the upper side of this rectangle was exactly confirmed by two highs. That's IMO a bit sparse. Instead, if I draw the declining line of a pennant, I get...

Corn, bidding for a breakout, again

If you're looking at the ZC futures and drawing your trendline a little bit steeper, you can see the breakout already. ;)

    Technical stop loss placement

Hi folks, I'm keen on getting some feedback. I've just made this trade here, and just a while ago, my stop-loss order was been hit. It looks like a bullish consolidation, the price is above all MAs (except the 200's SMA). Until today, it seemed like the bullish pennant was completely valid...

    Risking more than 1%...

Don't know if it was in "Market Wizards" or "Unknown Market Wizards": There was a trader interviewed who was trading in George Soros' fund. George said to him, if he is really sure about a trade, he should "crank it up"... I know, this might be no trading advice but investment advice. Maybe he...

10 year Treasury - what me worry?

I would simply draw this declining trendline on a weekly timeframe and trade accordingly. Otherwise, you could see this current formation also as double bottom and then trade the break of the local high ...

    Going full time

Make the leap and the net will appear. [unkown source] Can I ask how big your depot size is? So will you be happy with 40 % profit/year or rather 400 %? ;)

Technical analysis and different future contracts

This is exactly my plan. ;) RBOB and CT have both created in the current contract regarding my technicals a bullish signal. But I wanted to buy in CT rather the Jul contract which looks different and has no bullish signal yet. Regarding RBOB the later expiring contracts have a far higher price...

I've just finished this one here: Good read IMO.

Technical analysis and different future contracts

Thanks for the quick answers! I was avoiding rolling over my trade because I thought that I'll be losing with each rollover some profits from the position - that's why I was looking at the later contracts as well. But yeah, they are, of course, priced differently...

Technical analysis and different future contracts

Hi folks, because I'm starting to trade futures instead of ETFs now a question arouse in my mind: Because I want to stay longer in the trade I tend to buy a later expiring contract (i.e. September). But I think most people are trading and looking at the current contract. With some futures I've...
