    Comission and Bullet Rates

Name me a place. And, you shouldn't have to pay any other fee's except SEC, the software and hardware are provided for you, you get 10+ to 1 leverage, and 4 to 1 overnight. You won't find a prop shop that will touch you with those rates at 10K avg volume. Retail shops take anyone with money...

Is Choicetrade a prop shop or retail shop? Choicetrade also doesn't provide the training he's looking for.

    Comission and Bullet Rates

You're talking about guys doing 150K - 200K a day. It can be slightly less, but it depends on how aggressive they want to be. Newbies pay around 1 cent a share for NYSE in my group. Certain NASDAQ Exchanges are a bit more expensive.

    Comission and Bullet Rates

You're not getting those rates if you're a newbie. If you're putting up serious volume, then those rates are possible, but you also have to add ecn fee's into that number.

    What are Liquidity traders doing?

Actually I thought poorly of liquidity traders too, didn't think they made real money. But after talking to one, and seeing what he does, I gained a new respect for them. My personality would never be able to handle the constant in and out of liquidity trading, but there is money to be made...

    Andover Takeover

Looks like my source may have been wrong. According to a headline on Efinancialnews.com, it looks like SDS did buy Andover. But I can't find the news elsewhere. Does anyone have a subscription to efinancialnews.com? Can you copy and paste the artcile here. Thanks...

    Comission and Bullet Rates

Just wanted to clear that up. As everyone knows, I run a firm, and I get calls from people on Elite who want these rates, and they insist that they can get them all inclusive. Thanks for clearing it up. Now I know where they get confused.

    Comission and Bullet Rates

Does this include ECN charges? Or is this all inclusive regardless of where you send the order, (i.e. NYSE, REDI, INCA, etc...)?

    Hold Brothers Buyout?

Both of them are at each others throats, it can't be good for the rest of the industry trying to keep their profit margins intact. Maybe they'll both just beat each other into the ground.

    desk fees...black box...

Typically a firm needs the trader to do about 300K a month not to have to charge them a desk fee. For beginners the firms will eat the cost, as long as they know that the trader will get his volume up overtime.

    Hold Brothers Buyout?

They were so aggressive at one point that when they realized that they couldn't run the business model the way they were going when things slowed down, they had to change people's contracts which pissed everyone off. We're trying to work with Greg to make him realize his mistakes, so he can get...

    Jan Effect

Human nature never changes that's why the same patterns are always repeated. Even if a few do change their nature, there are always more newbies that come in with the basic human nature to replace those that did change. The problem with everyone jumping on the same pattern at the same time...

    Hold Brothers Buyout?

Excited, please don't incite a riot here. Fatty, you are are correct they did get rid of the systems because they didn't have the traders to fill them, but believe me the systems were so old and powerless that no trader would have them. And if they did try to push those systems on the new...

    Schedule D

Actually you have to be careful because some prop firms treat your gains and losses as Capital Gains/Losses, and other treat it as earned income. Under the Cap Gains treatment, you can only offset cap losses to cap gains or up to 3K in losses if you have no gains. Investment expenses can only...

    Jan Effect

It's true, most people expect the January effect and take positions ahead of it, essentially moving the stock ahead of January, leaving not much further movement to go. In the past few years, the January effect has actually taken place in December and November, cause the smarter money started...
