Look closely at how the stops are triggered. IB gives you control of this. Also, look at if the stops are native or not. This all makes a difference.

If you query IQFeed for AAPL minute bars between 6/16 and 7/1 there is a void for example. I also see voids with IBM, C, GS to name a few. ES seems fine, so maybe futures are unaffected. I am only looking at minute bars, so maybe tick/daily data etc are okay?

This is a major issue IMO. Never had a problem with them before this. I queried AAPL from 6/16-7/1, no data. They should send out notification to people that there is an issue, so far you are the first to alert me to this.... This has been going on for a week???

1.5hrs, back up. Not a big deal. I've had very few problems with IB over the years.

I have 8 gigs on XP x64 also. No problems here. It sounds like a hardware problem. Run a memory/cpu test on your machine.

This is a huge PR problem from them. They are the "Toyota" of electronics. Out of the gate people expect a trouble free product. They need to retain this image. To save face they need to replace the phones free of charge.

Mirus is great, no problems yet. I place trades using NT free. I use IQFeed for my charting, rock solid product IMO.

I use mirus with free ninjatrader version. Saves me about $300/mo in data fees. It's lame that IB does not support this program.

Frost, What criteria do you use to add/delete a network? When you forward test your networks do they all perform decent, or do you weed out a large percentage? jet

How do you deal with going long/short at the same price? Do the pros have a short account seperate from a long account? Let's say system A has a limit buy 1 ES at 1105 and system B has a stop limit sell 1 ES at 1105. Based on execution both systems need to place stops targets etc...
