Patriot Act: is it to control terrorist's or citizen's trading account ?

There is no question that the Patriot Act is to monitor the financial activities of everyone and not simply those of 'terrorists'.

    Zone Trading - Austin TX

No one can "list all the goodies your company offers..." unless you are an advertiser, then you can raise "red flags" (read: slander) about a competitor. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?threadid=24168 :(

I saw this Ford GT the other day...

Interesting bit of trivia... Something that we take for granted today is the ceremonial spraying of Champagne after a victory. The very first time Champagne was sprayed after a race was by Dan Gurney after he and A.J. won the '66 24 hours of LeMans.

    Looking in Orlando

Use the search function in the upper right hand corner of the page. Type in Orlando and use the Prop Firm option from the drop down arrow. There you will find several discussions. That is unless those posts were made by a non-advertiser which had their posts deleted. :D

    GreenTraderTax deleted and says goodbye

... but, one of the attractions of this message board has been the quality of many of the contributors. Many of these contributors are either being censored or chased away. Sure there has been self promotion and a lot of BS, but you have to get everyone's opinion before you can see through the...

I have wanted to start a thread like this myself... When taking losses in to account, I average about .025 per share before fees and commissions.

    Commission based on Volume

You are getting .0075 per share on 10k shares a day? I would think that rate would be reserved for someone trading 50k shares a day. Are you paying for software? Are you paying your data fees? Do you have a desk charge? Are you getting 100% payout? Sounds like a great deal to me. Your...

    Anyone heard of HLV Trading?

www.hlvtrading.com HLV either merged with or acquired Navillus. Supposedly, they have better funding. HLV is motivated to keep many of the Navillus traders from defecting to Echo with their former remote manager. They offer Sterling Pro and another proprietary platform.

    Anyone watch F1 last night?

I love F1 racing, I used to wake up 6 am to watch all the races. I enjoyed it more 10 years ago, but still a fan. I am more into Motorcycle racing right now. I went to the Canadian GP in 1989 and the USGP in 2000.

    Bullets??

Bullets allow a trader to sell a stock without the complications of a short sale, i.e. upticks or borrowing shares.

    Pop up blocker

I have used the free ones, but I prefer Zone Alarm. Many of the free ones that I have used prevent all pop-ups, like links that automatically open another browser. For example: Yahoo Chess, which I cannot live without. You can download a 60 day trial from their website. There is a $10 off...

    Navillus Securities

I had decided to prop trade with them after demonstrating the software. I left messages with my contact several time last week and never received a call back. This week I have been calling and no one wants to tell me what is going on. Looks like I am going back to the drawing board. If you...

    IRA "day-trading" to be disallowed???

I think what we are seeing here is either a customer who didn't understand what they were told or an etrade customer service rep who got their rules mixed up. My guess is we're talking about the freeride rule and not daytrading rules. You have to be able to fully pay for a trade in an IRA...
