Something i notice many traders use

Hey Timmy, Was curious to see what you thought of NoDoji's ideas? From my experience so far, I have to agree that I don't see a great strategy in that method. But, I'm thinking that there is more to it than I'm currently seeing. In theory, it would seem very elegant that the...

IN THIS THREAD: IronFist learns (the elusive) PRICE ACTION

What does Suri say about chosing a time frame for your charts (or tick number/volume amount) if you are day trading? I found his article about it on Trader's Lab, but found it to be a bit rambling.

    Charting software for Apple iMac

So far, if I want to use the ET favorites (Ninja, Sierra, Quotetracker, etc.) on an iMac, it sounds like I'm going to have to go with the virtual or parallel PC. I guess that software isn't available for the Apple operating system because daytraders don't use Macs?

    Charting software for Apple iMac

Does any of the third party charting software run on a Mac? Like Ninja, Sierra, etc. Thanks for the help.

Finally: Possible Relief for The Rest of Us

Agree and disagree. You might be right that this isn't enough or won't be structured in such as way as to help. And you're totally right, in my humble opinion, that homes are still overpriced by historical standards. But, I don't think this about reelection. This is about trying to fix our...

Finally: Possible Relief for The Rest of Us

Instead of bailing out the Wall Street multi-millionaires, here is a plan to help out everyone else. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/12/03/AR2008120302889.html?hpid=topnews&sub=AR

Trading futures -- Do I really need software?

Nice post. Volume chart or time-based charts?

Trading futures -- Do I really need software?

I appreciate your answer. Would you think that order flow is equivalent to DOM or would order flow be purchases and sales that will definitely be made as opposed to DOM which are constantly changing before any transactions?

On the fundamentalism of PA traders

You may agree with that (me, too, by the way,) but talk to any professional ball player and you'll see that what I wrote earlier is more accurate.

Trading futures -- Do I really need software?

Hey Osorico, You said there are many traders that don't use charts. Can you elaborate? What methods do they use? I'd love to here some real details as I've asked this question before, but only received perfunctory answers. I have noticed that, sometimes, when I turn off the charts and...

On the fundamentalism of PA traders

Is that all that Anek is using these days? I know he likes to improve his system. I thought I saw him using more time based charts lately.

On the fundamentalism of PA traders

Hey Anek, Have you moved back to time based bars rather than volume based bars? A combination thereof?

What caused this huge rally after 1PM ?

What I meant was for a short term trade. Will it get to the 9500 range first before another leg down? Like in the next few days (if not hours!)

What caused this huge rally after 1PM ?

Are you buying in now hoping this goes up to the 9500 range or do you think this is the rally we've been waiting for and now it's time to wait for another leg down?

    Ninja

I want to try out Ninja for trading the ES before I do live trades with Ninja. How do I get an ES data feed for Ninja without committing cash yet? Or is that not possible? Also, is it possible to do this with Quotetracker? Right now, my Quotetracker is linked to Ameritrade which...

    Election - Market Reaction

No, bud. The party is over. You've obviously never lost a job, watched your paycheck shrink, had to wade through the health care system with a serious illness, or lost someone in Iraq. You can help rebuild the country or pretend that everything will fix itself. Even the stock market...

    Election - Market Reaction

Agreed. Markets feel McCain is loose cannon. And that Palin is worse, should, God forbid, McCain not serve out his full term.

    Election - Market Reaction

Don't you do any research? Don't you get out and meet traders? If you did either, you'd see that your assumptions are wrong. Maybe, your little group overwhelmingly supports McCain and it's giving you the wrong impression.

    Election - Market Reaction

Actually, I am. Not to all of their private conversations, but to those conversations into which I was invited. And some of those figures are at an age where they are ready to help their country rather than themselves. They want to help us get back on track and the way to do that is to get...
