    Socrates Examines Technical Strategy

Just to show you how hosed SCT logic is, the upside-down channel in green drawn from the open determined the shape of the AM. I have pointed this out many times before, but they never accept the concept of drawing channels upsidedown. Of course, I hardly ever draw channels at all, just slummin'...

    The 'Ol Backtesting Dilemma

Succinctly and well put, Specterx! A little dose of Hershey wouldn't hurt for a well-rounded ET education.

    The 'Ol Backtesting Dilemma

If you insist, I use E-Signal when I'm not backtesting. It has a very nice autocode feature and has more powerful features for people who want more than Publum backtesting.

    The 'Ol Backtesting Dilemma

PDM, IMO the sad fact is that profitable strategies are too complex to be testable because they have two many variables and conditions. Consequently successful startegies verge on being intuitive. They are complex deductions about market conditions based multiple simultaneous observations. Were...

I think that Neoxx is so proud, nay stiff-necked, that he wouldn't accept any help.

    Socrates Examines Technical Strategy

Our nemeses have cleverly deprived us of our raison d'etre. None that remain are worthy of our wit and misrepresentation. Simple foolishness is beneath our dignity to caricature. We require massive delusions of grandeur to rise to our occasion. I am thinking of fading away myself, until Jack...

    Socrates Examines Technical Strategy

Git while the gittin' is good? The time before last that Jack left it was just before Nwbprop definitively declared defeat. Nothing sticks to him. Neoxx certainly won't. Like a freshly flung snotball sliding down a clean window. Todd will tell you why he is out of the SCT tutoring...

Getting forgetful (scads of Post-Its) on the monitors. Depressogenic environment (the blue tinge and the dark shadows would have me in the bathtub with slit wrists before noon).

Three computers based on three mice. He's naturally right handed based on the mice and glasses location (not as creative as he fancies himself). Likes sodas in cans (uses one for a pencil holder). Eats at the work table (salt shaker). Takes an important prescription medication (pill bottle close...

All very anal, in an Ex-Lax sort of way. Exactly how I would do it if I were wealthy beyond imagining. Roll after roll of hand drawn 1950's stock charts. A sumptuous work area made of three WalMart plastic folding tables. Southern engineering evident in the two-by-four in the middle (a...

That was the week I infiltrated the IBD group. I think it's a basement, hence the painted view. The chain also suggests it's a dungeon. Or maybe a gradge, the door threshold looks like an exterior door. Nice pic of Liz, very pretty. TUBE monitors, for mercy's sake! OLD OLD tube...

SickSickSick, I am forever in your debt for that, at least until tomorrow. I have blown it up to prick up a few details: legitimacy suggested by presence of Jack's trademark c Coke bottle glasses tree is PAINTED on the wall CPU desk is made of PLYWOOD More to follow.

Now that Spydertrader has relinquished the reins of the Interative Definement thread: "...the time has arrived for my involvement with this discussion to draw to a close..." I wish to make a sincere offer to him, which I hope you will support, to join us on the B-Team, as we explore beyond...

Sorry. Not good enough. You must snivel and grovel. And not just here, wherever else ET is unfortunate that you post.

Often I am asked why I trade from such tiny chart windows, with charts that require so little attention. Sheepishly I must admit that it is because most of my screen is taken up by a randomly sequencing flow of '50's pinups. At my age, one must prioritize one's pleasures. Or vices.

    Socrates Examines Technical Strategy

Today is Day One of the newest Jack Hershey hostage crisis. Don't worry folks, I've successfully(?) brought him out of r-ET-irement before. But I can't do it alone. All over ET, you must BEG Jack to come back. I will do my part by nagging you about it, and by so egregiously misrepresenting SCT...

    Socrates Examines Technical Strategy

Many thanks! Back in the '50's, before most of ET was born, there was a marvelous little monograph called The Voice of Neurosis. What a treat it was for me to remember that book and to make an analysis!
