    Trading on "Instynct" (NQ)

Great trade, Jimbo! I remember back when Kill the Sunshine had an NQ thread, which was for whatever reason superceded by this thread. Maybe it's time to start NQ thread 3.0

Hopefully Lagarde is too preoccupied with the new criminal investigation against her to read (and support) that guy's article. :D http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424053111903366504576487882765895202.html

1/4% Tax on all stock trades pushed in NY Times today

That's a pretty small number considering most other reports have the total starting at 200B all the way up to 800B taxing all markets at 0.05%. Either they revised their tax rate way down or are only targeting one market (e.g. forex).

The question now is when the time comes to vote for an EU level FTT, will Italy vote no since they already have one (which would kill the EU FTT since the vote needs to be unanimous among members), or will they vote yes and have two FTTs, or will they vote yes and scrap their FTT in favor of the...

. . . or perhaps little Malta will be the spoiler: http://www.di-ve.com/Default.aspx?ID=72&Action=1&NewsId=84328 A significant majority of EU citizens favour the introduction of a tax on financial transactions, a survey shows, but Malta is the only country to buck the trend. The...

1/4% Tax on all stock trades pushed in NY Times today

Unless I'm reading too much into this, the following article seems to imply that the FTT would be bundled with a bunch of other legislation, and that if a country wants to vote against FTT, it will have to vote against everything else bundled with it, thus causing a potential dilemma for a...

If you don't mind me asking -- how are your bars colored, especially the blue part? Is it related to bid/ask info? Don't think I've seen bars like that before. Thanks.

We have to assume that she read the IMF reports, and yet not only did she continue pushing for FTT after the reports were released, but she took the next step of suggesting EU should "go it alone". Since she disregarded the reports, there's no reason to think she'll call for new ones, but...
