I recognize her from the Fermented-Hops-No.-Five/BJ swaption pit. And what a great trader she is. She swallowed my large order like it was nothing.

Tech Anal.."no respect I tell ya"

Wasn't aiming that comment at you, specifically. But if you do find yourself in the death/destruction camp, and think that wishing for (really) bad things is healthy, it's not. Just my (psych) $.02.

Tech Anal.."no respect I tell ya"

Broadening formation in nominal terms. Series of lower highs, lower lows in real terms. Just a market trying to digest decades of fiscal/monetary irresponsibility. That is not a giant sHs...let me rephrase...let's hope that's not a giant sHs. Some bears are rooting for that, but if a market...

    Dow 8000?

You need to look at earnings of everyone, not just AAPL. Earnings today and the past few days have been good. Earnings are a lagging indicator Corporations are sitting on $2 trillion of cash. Only fanning the flames of dis-inflation GS gave a recommendation of "stay fully...

    Russell 2000 cup&handle and sentiment

Thanks for the charts. I agree (without referencing your graphics) that sentiment became very negative during the past month, at a very rapid rate. If there's not another "shoe drop" in the next couple of weeks...the path of least resistance is higher. People were pricing in (almost...

Ever wonder why they never made a movie about Jesse Livermore?

The suicide thing might be a little awkward. You could always get Mel Gibson to direct it though, so the reality gets glazed over/heavily distorted. (Jesse puts the gun barrel in his mouth, and in a muffled voice says:) "Goddamnit, I should've never bought shares of General Motors! They're...

    Euro 1.000 equaled Nasdaq 4000

Your point is: A) we're about to experience a massive market rally B) the Euro is about to slip to parity C) the Euro is about to rally D) the world is different than it was during the dot com bubble (bc is sure isn't the same)

    what are the technicals saying?

De-risking and volatility continues to be the trade(s) this summer. Q4 is much friendlier to bulls than Q3 2011 is the last stand of the bears...weather that storm, and look to buy the bottom in Q3-Q4 timeframe in 2011

Geithner to EU: Give your banks a stress test and give them all the money they need!

Bingo. If FASB 157 was enforced like it should here, this market would have a stroke.

Funny how some run from bubbles flying to gold

I'd like to see you re-evaluate that statement once all of these people try to take physical delivery of the gold at once, only to realize that the counterparty cannot deliver. That would be counterparty risk.

Is it a Boom or Inflation, Meltup

Shouldn't Calente, in all of his infinite, trend-forecasting wisdom, know that the scarf trend is sooooo dead?

I'm speechless watching central banks panic with mkts up 75%

This isn't about shares of Apple, bud. Other, far more important market exist in this world, aside from equities. More about the recent disfunction of Eurpean debt and currency markets than anything. European credit markets have been pretty F-ed up of late. Broken logic you have there.
