What do you think of this deal ? (Futures prop firm)

Bone's right. Depending on the firm, there's probably a bunch of other stuff that makes up for the other $500 bucks per month. Bottom line is, if the firm is legit, they're in it to make money off of splitting your trading profits and not the fees and commissions.

    Dual Head PCI Video Card

Now that I think about it, the $30 one was Belkin. But adapters are adapters. Unless there's a noticeable difference in quality, like gold plated connections or something, I don't think the brand makes a difference.

    Dual Head PCI Video Card

Yeah, new. They had two kinds, both were the DVI-I adapters. One was $15 (name brand) and the other was $8, generic. Actually, I think it was $8.99, so $9 to be more accurate. They also had one with an extension cable for $30. I got it at Fry's Electronics. I returned it though because...

    Dual Head PCI Video Card

$27 dollars? I picked up a DVI-I/VGA adapter a couple of days ago for $8 at the local computer store.

What do you think of this deal ? (Futures prop firm)

This is what I heard about how the monthly fees are calculated at these places. TT access to all exchanges is worth 1250 a month and cqg is worth 600 a month, so they make about 500 bucks off you after paying for your 4-4 space on the floor. I think what's more important than the data fees...

What do you think of this deal ? (Futures prop firm)

I think there's a place in Chicago that offers a similar deal. 50% payout with no salary. I think they'll allow you to go remote too.

What do you think of this deal ? (Futures prop firm)

Misctrader, I think our discussion was about Tradelink and not Matrix. Most futures prop places charge around 2k for the desk fee, but it comes out of your earnings. I think what's more important is the commissions they charge. You should be trading for cost or near cost if it's a good...

    Dual Head PCI Video Card

If the DVI output is a DVI-I type, I think you can just purchase a DVI to VGA adapter (cheap) and connect another CRT to the card.

What do you think of this deal ? (Futures prop firm)

Actually $2000-$2500 per month is pretty standard at futures prop places. Data and platform fees come out to quite a bit. CQG and TT are not cheap. At $2500 per month they are probably making a few hundred off of you. However, you don't have to deposit anything so at least it's coming out of...

    Interview ?s

Really? I have heard from people that know traders there that they do well. They supposedly have high buying power and take large positions for swings and are not just daytrading. All hearsay though, so I'm not sure. Mecro, did you get offered a position and turn it down? Or did you...

    Commissions question...

Depends on what rates your looking for. If your just looking for .0075, I am sure you can find that with your volume or any volume amount. But why pay .0075 when you have a place that advertises on ET at .005 for retail with no volume requirements? I think it would be hard to match .005...

    Commissions question...

You're not doing enough volume to negotiate rates with a prop firm, you'll probably just end up getting whatever they start rates at. Why don't you try pointdirex with thier .005/share retail ad that they have going here on ET? This is assuming you're going to be trading remote. You can...

    Series 7 sponsorship?

I'm pretty sure almost all of the prop firms will sponsor you if you tell them you will open an account in 6 months. However, they will probably ask you to pay for the fee.

how to manage false breakouts on NQ ES

I tried to follow some of his writings when he first started posting here. I thought he might have something useful to say. I just got frustrated, unable to understand what he was saying. As far as the validity of his methods, I cannot say, since I have no idea what they are. I'll be...

Yes. You can work out a deal to put up 100% of your money and take 100% of the profits at almost all of the pro firms.
