I like the down side action with increased volume. It means that I not only can buy these stocks more cheaply but more shares of them. My short sells are feeding me well.

silver, you nailed that one down. People will always be involved when money is to be exchanged for profit or loss. However, trading is the only profession that allows one to do this without actual verbal dialogue on a daily basis.

I once sold short 1000 shares of NOVL(20.25) @ the close for a swing trade. An earnings warning came out after the bell. After Hours dropped the price to 11.75--I bought those puppies back and gave them back to their rightful owner. :D

I use a mental stop. When a trade is going against me with momentum, I send a market order just before my mental stop and 98% of the time I'm executed @ or around my stop loss(mental). That's in a fast market. A slow one is a no brainer:confused:

We all know that if M-T isn't pumping out at least 20 pts. a day, then volatility is low.
