No worries - I'll just leave it as it is. I think the date change would be more confusing than the time difference :)

    Time offset

Hi, My current local time is GMT +13:00 hours, but the maximum offset in account options is +12:00 hours. The extra hour must be due to daylight savings time. Would it possible to get a +13:00 offset added to the options?

    CME e-micro futures

Yeah, the info does say that the margin and exchange fees will be around 1/10 of the full future - but the broker's fees will be the same. So the total commissions will be around five times as expensive compared to a full future contract.

NVIDIA graphics cards for multiple monitor (2560 x 1600 resolution)

Creative have put out a range of higher end sound cards that are PCIe. But yeah, that motherboard looks more suited to running data crunching applications. If it had six, dual-GPU video cards running CUDA, that'd be quite a supercomputer!

Bear Market is Over! GO long S&P 500!

That's quite a complicated feature to instigate. You'll notice that when you quote someone, it simply places marked-up text within your message, after which, it no longer is linked to the original poster. To be able to selectively display the quote, it would need to be inserted into the...

    23" samsung lcd

According to the reviews, at least one person did get it to function at maximum res of 2048x1152 using a single-link DVI cable - even though it is slightly beyond the rated specs of single-link. Another reviewer had trouble with getting that resolution via DVI with their video card, but got...

    Video Graphics Card help

The DMS-59 plug is just a way of saving space on the back of the card, particularly on the low-profile card. It just combines all the pins of two DVI ports into one port, and the adaptor separates them again. There is no loss in quality as the two video signals are still kept independent from...

New Quad Video Cards At Nvidia... Run 30"ers

Are far as I can determine, the NVS 450 is a PCIe 1.0 card only. The motherboard would not use the PCIe 2.0 capability anyway. This also seems confirmed by the numbers, as PCIe 1.0 X16 has a throughput of 4.0 GB/s, while four 30" monitors would need a data feed of 3.96 GB/s. So it's at the...

    Firefox vs. Chrome

A benefit that Chrome may provide in this circumstance is that it allows the user to close down a frozen tab independently of the others, while Firefox would close down the whole application. I just imagine with 50 tabs open this could be a regular occurrence.

New Quad Video Cards At Nvidia... Run 30"ers

The NVS450 runs four 30"s at 2560 x 1600 as well. With the benefit of being fanless, using less power and leaving another slot free for later adding that second four 30"s...

New Quad Video Cards At Nvidia... Run 30"ers

To connect a displayport to DVI requires a circuit within the adaptor to actively convert the signal to a different format, rather than just changing the physical connections - so having four such adaptors would cost almost as much as the card. So I'd certainly agree that a couple of the...

New Quad Video Cards At Nvidia... Run 30"ers

The new connectors on the 450 are called 'DisplayPort'. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Displayport They are basically an alternative to HDMI. A lot of the really big new monitors have a DisplayPort input, particularly Apple CinemaDisplay which only have DisplayPort, and the new dell 30"s...

    Accumulating Junk in Windows, Yuck

A csv file is for storing data, such as price data for trading. - it isn't Windows XP itself creating those files. One of the trading or charting applications you are using is storing the data received from your data provider or broker. You'll need to figure out which one and tell it not to.

NVIDIA graphics cards for multiple monitor (2560 x 1600 resolution)

I would usually say more power the better... but if you aren't sure that you'll be doing back-testing with multicharts, there's not a lot of applications that will use 8 cores. That's a lot of extra power usage, heat and noise if you're not going to use it. Maybe just get one fast quad...

NVIDIA graphics cards for multiple monitor (2560 x 1600 resolution)

Neither of those options have high enough resolution. You could get an NVS 450 - which can drive 4 30" monitors. Although it seems to come with displayport connections rather than DVI - maybe it depends on the particular model.
