    Traders have a better personality?

totally, good traders are very cool people in my experience with all of the aforementioned traits. and the corporate value system is exactly like you describe in my experience.. except for one trait personally, i don't respect the other players. i cuss at them all freakin day long..

    Swing Trading Under 25K Capital

one of the best things you can do for your account if you're not doing this already.... (better not to learn it the hard way) ... choose a stoploss, and ALWAYS use it. this is one of the first and biggest beginner mistakes. I had to learn the hard way... I doubt there are many making money...

The Next Trend In USA Alcohol

one of my best friends used to head pr for sapphire until a year ago, you're right, this brand is a rocket (or at least it was under her direction). i got a lot of free gin. more than a guy can drink... marketing is total bs, but it's tolerable if you know the brand manager and get free...

Can a System be reverse engineered just from viewing daily trades/account statements?

i've wondered this before as well. i would imagine, the more degrees of freedom in a system, the more difficult it would be to reverse engineer. in this case, my systems are highly decipherable. brokers have access to some pretty valuable aggregate information, they can see all pending...

Bully On The Playground! (ego Challenge)

wouldn't it follow that the best traders on this board won't want to share diddly squat about how they trade, ie what and when?

    s & P, h ow high? I ask, "How low?"

lol darn good thing it cant go negative i was blurring my eyes and doing a very fuzzy mental regression on the daily and weekly charts tonight wondering where they could possibly go (thats the extent of my prognosticating skills)... and anyway, i was kind of imagining an s&p in the 500's.

    Uppers

you could always swing trade, and use tradestation audio alerts real loud to tell you when action is required. as a mech swing trader, i sometimes do sleep practically all day... and just sort of crack an eye open to check the trade every 15 mins or so.

    Trading and time

damn! that really is a windfall. i went to college, worked and saved up on a wall st floor for four years, quit to trade a year ago, have made almost 60% on my acct, and I still don't quite have what you made in one or two seriously amazing trades. a small handfull of trades isnt the best...

Throwing an easy overpaid job for a prop shop

yeah, there is so much you can do to further your chances of success at trading before quitting the stable (but sucky) job. not to mention the capital you can save while there. if i were you, i would put together at least a 25k stake, and study the hell out of the markets and your potential...

    You can't lose!!

i believe there is an art to speculation, just as there is an art to programming and system writing. we all know that there are people who employ either or both with incredible success. i personally adhere to your view as well, but that's not to say that many traders don't profit from...

    Global Arbitrage

i don't do this, but i have thought about the idea that international markets must trend together in predictable ways, or perhaps even display logical flows between international markets as momentary inverse correlations. my big aspiration (once i have the resources) is to set up a room full...

    dumb mistakes

all the usual suspects, long instead of selling and accidentally doubling a losing position as it rockets away... ...but the most annoying was the last time i entered 6 contracts with a market order in a super thin market and got a cascading series of incredibly shitty fills. man did i feel...

Next step in a newbie's quest for glory

or consider setting up tradestation and systematically backtesting your theories. i had to lose 12% of my account before I figured out the potentials of mechanical trading and started making a living. also, if you're not doing this already, save yourself some major time and set and adhere to...
