using shorter time frames like 1 min also subjects Renko to lots of noise, 5-min timeframe is longer but more accurate. I use same time frame 5-minutes but different box sizes .25, 0.50 and 1 box to smooth ... can't speak for the success rate yet as still in the works.

Do you meant 5 points for target or 5 ticks? Smae for the stops. I use 0.25 box size and 0.50 box size, shorter for entries and longer to see the trend, my setup still in the works ... I don't have a definate win/lose ratio.

Anybody wants to share their Renko bar trading strategies? I have found the simplest is to trade 5-min charts with 0.25 box and .50 box when are two consequtive (up or down) of the 20 EMA. The 0.50 box size helps smooth and see the trend and 0.25 box triggers the trade. I use in combination...

Agree ... I am trend trader myself. By higher days lower volume and dog day sof day in August were on my mind...tho VIX has improved over months where crazy swings no longer present...but I still pulled the trigger and existed entire porfolio. Pullbacks were minor ... not enought dip to...

What's everyone's opinion of this rally? I was expecting a bigger pullback when Down started hitting 8800 so I had moved all my funds to money-market in my long term investments ... but this bad boy keeps hitting higher highs without me. What do you say?
