Good points...but increase in prop taxes depends where you live. If live California then your taxes locked at the purchase price. Some peple live in $1M home which bot 30 years ago for 100K and only pay $1K/year in taxes (might go up a little if county has direct assessments such as new fire...

US is the best place to be as far as taxes...if you can manage your money right ... you should be able to to avoid paying huge taxes. You just have to learn what to do. The only tax hits you pay "immediately" in the US is the payroll tax, US government pulls out Fed. State. SSI, SS, taxes...

I think price is reseanable at least for someone to "test drive it" compared to other services.
