idtaken: As a matter of interest, why would you need such split and merge features? Hotspot offers only split, but not merge capability, doesn't it?

Does anyone know of any (large) retail firm which pays interest on account balances at rates comparable to IB's?

TWS just went down with the error dialog window "login failed - Failed send message NSMsg - java.net.Socket Exception:Connection reset" (also seen last week). Please take appropriate remedial action as a matter of top priority. Thanks!
