A good trend trailing method would have kept you in, not sure why this is so hard to believe.

Use moving averages to filter from non trending environments. If no trend, dont trade, because chances of chop increase. If trend is up, buy low sell high. If trend is down, short high cover low. If wrong, take small loss, if right, ride the trend, this will allow you to get good...

Do you mean dividends ? If so already accounted for, you dont lose them, otherwise there be a tremendous silly edge.

You tend to feel rusty, but if it went well in the past you tend to catch up quickly after 1-2 weeks.

Must feel pretty crappy to see the stock hit 52 highs on announcement that you, as a leader, are leaving.

Losses can come via short squeeze as wel, not sure that can fall into the Flash Crash theory though. Flash rally maybe? :)

IWM is notorious for having the highest ATR of them, but applied to dia or spy, not a big deal; but ya some trading.

It's in a tight range, some of the underlying instruments are not Nasdaq based so there's some index arbitrage still even with the Nasdaq securities down.

Takes years to learn how to do the above and correctly, and you suggesting it so casually in one line. I'm all about simplicity but this is a bit extreme, don't you think ?
