it sounds to me like there are a lot of very smart people that are worried about the us dollar and the spending habits of americans. obviously it is not the end of the world right now but there are some serious concerns, imo.

at the very least, if you are short gold, you must have a hard time sleeping this weekend. if not, more power to you.

i cannot forsee many probable scenarios where gold will not move higher for the forseeable future in the intermediate term. short term is irrelevant in my mind. check my other thread titled " GOLD upside breakout 1/23/07 - your thoughts?" i really would love to hear your thoughts.

at the very least you must think that the fed stepping back from a tightening bias bodes well for gold, regardless of all else.

absolutey - most americans do not take retirement savings seriously - and most do not have anywhere near the skills required to properly do it. ask around. if you are not aware of this you are not talking to a broad enough strata of the social classes.
