gold is so tempting and seems so strong even in light of this retractment... it is non-correlating to the rest of the market well, imo...

DOW, imo: next week: down medium term: down long term: still up if you look at week bars and the 2.5+ year bull. the long term trend could be violated soon but im thinking that would have to take another 20% on $indu from here to accomplish that. all in my opinion mind you.

but the exchanges have been for-profit for some time now, and it is possible that competition and public scrutiny by shareholders will keep prices low... they all own each other anyway ;) - Goldman being the biggest dog on the block, imo.

typically, for bust and adjust type situations like this, a "marketable order" is considered within 10% of last print for liquid stocks over $5. doesnt island and arca have public erroneous-order policys?

they never make markets - all they do is route for their customers with the exception of .01 bids and 9999 offers which they do because they are required

the way i see it, QQQQs have broken out down, SPY is on the border, DIA is still correcting... Dead Cat Bounce... add SMH i suppose ;)

lately ive been doing 1, 2, 3 positions at most with max 10% buying power each... i have used 50% bp with up to 6 positions on rare occasions... mostly during blatent bull markets like 3 months ago. i sneak in the occasional equity but rarely.

yeah mostly just DIA, SPY, GLD, IYR actually. i only do ETFs - i dont know enough about options, futures, currencies etc to feel comfortable... (nor do i have or want the account permissions yet ;)
