democrats will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory

A plant that, unfornately, BOTH parties think should be illegal. However, I can steadfastly assert that, regardless of whether I am using pot, LSD, Qualudes, wine/beer/liquor, Peyote, Vicodin, PCP, inhalants, Xanax, or crystal-meth: my political views stay the same: Republicans = Facists...

democrats will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory

CHEW: Let's say you love 1000 Island dressing but went to a restaurant that only served Blue Cheese and Penzoil Motor Oil for salad dressing: would you pick the Penzoil ?!?!?! Policy-wise there isn't a cat's-hair difference in policy between Hilliary & Obama. People that would choose McCain...

democrats will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory

CHEW: I share your concerns that the Hilliary/Obama battle will result in lots of weak-kneed Dems getting turned off completely. The core, of course, realize that there isn't a paper-thin difference between the two when talking policy. Solid party members will vote for either candidate no...

It's Official: Microsoft Vista Sucks. Just ask Microsoft Execs.

I have a better idea, CAPA: take the Vista. The major complaints about Vista are comng from bitheads (as in bits-&-bytes) and not the general public. If you are a normal person who only uses a computer to do typical "stuff" and you are buying a new system, it is absurd to go with any...

    eSignal has gone downhill

Thanks Redduke. However, I suspect that eSignal will still charge me the $125.00 monthly service fee. My bill has been $161.00 per month with $125 of that being non-Exchange fees. That's only 3 ES points and some change but I hate paying $125.00 for crappy software/support. The main...

    The Rally Since 1PM . . .

I think you might want to wait for a pullback to the 1310-1312 area first. Might want to catch some of that pullback too.

    The Rally Since 1PM . . .

Gee, hate to jump in this late in the run but I was saying the same thing at 1302 !!!

    If this rally fails...

Damn good lesson today in NOT always waiting for a pullback. Double top hardly slowed us down.

    I NEVER hold overnight positions.

    If this rally fails...

Since the Fed's mandate is to 'keep inflation stable' then their actions are completely opposite to what they should be doing. They are NOT working on their inflation mandate they are attempting to forestall a recession and prop up, artifically, the stock market. I thnk they will fail to...

    eSignal has gone downhill

I have IB for my broker and had purchased a few months of Sierra Charts. I had back to sSignal because of the irratic connections with IB. These problems seem to have subsided considerably lately (knock on my head): I briefly lose connection once or twice a day. I only trade the S&P emini...

    eSignal has gone downhill

I finally cancelled my eSignal account after being with them (on & off) since 1999. (Actually since 1994 when I had Quotrek). Their latest version, 10.0 really sucks: literally in system resources and figuratively in most other ways. Before this release they had great charting software...

It's Official: Microsoft Vista Sucks. Just ask Microsoft Execs.

It seems like a lot of those problem stem from earlier days (2007). Here's a link for an exhaustive review of Vista. I have been postponing a desktop and a laptop purchase until Vista was ready: I hate to buy new computers with a generation-old OS...

can someone answer this simple tax question

I attended a Woodies CCI seminar a few months back and one of the speakers was Jim Crimmins. His firm specializes in tax accounting for traders. His recommendation was a 'C' corp with an 'LLC' being the second choice. An 'S' was a no-no. His explanation for ths ranking seemed logical and...

Keep bringing the market down to its knees

Trust me; if ALL of the posters on this site were to go short it would have very little affect on the market. Writing posts that are 'gloom & doom' do even less. The market has only begun its fall from the coming recession as you can see by the 1 and 2 day rallies that continue to occur...

    cqg

I'm also an eSignal user and would like to explore other platforms. I pay $161.00 per month and I only trade the S&P emini. What are other users paying for similar services (quote feed & charting)? Does CQG or Tradestation provide for 'range-bar' rather than simply providing 'time-based' bars?

    Seeking a partner

You might want to consider focusing on a single instrument rather than trading multiple markets. I suspect that you would be 'up' on some markets and ''down' on others and end up taking profits (small) on the 'up' trades while letting the losers run. This is the exact opposite of how the game...

    Clowns ES Daytrading Journal

I guess that I could be called one of those 'lurkers'. If it appears that we are reluctant to weigh in with our opinions it is probably due to the fact that we do not want to interrupt or influence YOUR journal. Rest assured that people are reading and appreciating your posts. We are...

ALL Americans should see this question to FED Bernanke

I can see that the wrong form of 'their' is used, (should be 'they're), but I don't understand why 'too' should be used instead of 'to'. I know we don't grade for grammer/spelling errors on forums but...since you mentioned the 'to' error can you state the rules for using 'too' versus 'to'.
