    Trader P/L 2005

Automation is our strength, and a critical element in our trading success. It allows us to execute our trading plan. I have a few clerks, who assist me with my trading and managing my sub accounts. When things go wrong, that's when I really need them, otherwise the systems do most of the work.

Don's openings and more for 2005

Depends on how much capital that was used, If he made 15 mm using 15 or 20 mm of capital, then it was indeed impressive. However, if he used 100 or 200 mm of capital, it's average at best.

Walking the walk (Blotter Thread Continued)

I would request that the moderator clean up this thread and delete all the irrelevant posts. His blotter doesn't lie folks, the rest of this stuff is just speculations. And since when is endorsing a product a bad thing? Instead of challenging his results, why don't you spend some time...

    Spreadsheet Backtesting

If you are trading NYSE, there is no slippage, you get the open no problem, and if you are exiting the close, you get the close. If you are entering on the close, SS might be a problem. (and you don't need connections to get this!) I also believe that you can trade NASDAQ stocks and get the...

As a trader, I understand the necessity of pulling out a paycheck monthly and getting paid for your time, but, if you never reinvest some of your profits it will be impossible to build your business and earn what you are really worth! Continued succes to you! Mike

Absolute safest place to keep money

If you keep your money at a bank in a savings account, your money is FDIC insured, if the US government defaults on its debts is the only risk i can see. If you think that this is a possibility, then keep your cash in hard assets like gold and silver and store them yourself.

Electric, I have been reviewing your journal, and let me congratulate you on finding an edge, and taking the time to share it with the rest of ET. While I admit I know very little about forex trading, I do understand what it is to trade, and to take an edge and start "dialing it up" a...

    Spreadsheet Backtesting

If your signal is generated today, then you would enter tomorrow either at the Open, or Close, those are the only two prices that you know you can get, using any other price will provide an inaccurate analysis. Good luck! Mike

    what's everybody's trading style?

Trading, especially short term trading, is about doing what is working now. Opgs, pairs, scalping, news, these are the ways that traders make money in today's market. If you want to succeed, then I suggest that you adapt to what is working now.
