    when you say swing trade indexes, you mean Index Futures like YM, ES,NQ or ETFs like SPY, TAZ etc ? I am trying both but stops on Futures are much bigger

    I can't do this in my current job and as I know they wont appreciate taking work time. unless I walk away or step out of office. This work Environment is conservative and serious. I have had Laid back env before, but NOT this one :)

    thks Guys. thats what I am doing now, short list in evenings and entering LMT orders in pre mkt, but some dont get filled, due to Gap up/dn. I use TC2000 which has excellent app for iphone/android but I prefer ipad/Laptop, so I sit in starbucks before get to work, sat 8am cst, look at charts...

    how we manage Day/swing Trading with Full time job like 9-5 with me, my previous job in a Bank gave me flexible hours, so I had 2 hrs every morning for 2 yrs and enjoyed learning, but with my new job, 8.30-500 and I need to be onsite in the office and unable to do trading, except checking charts...

    never used wealth lab, but my search yielded one free site that shows historical http://online.wsj.com/mdc/public/page/2_3021-gainnnm-gainer-20150126.html?mod=mdc_pastcalendar I am amazed as no other site has this info, but cant export from wsj site, can see and manually copy the symbols

    I I have tried Multicharts and it has a great ranking system in "portfolio trader" but we have to provide symbols list. It can't get Top gainers/losers from Nasdaq like a scanner thks for the response btw:)

    yes, correct about ranking them, but I wont go Long on all % up, instead I would apply a SR based strategy I already have in NT/Multicharts well, i have historical intraday data from barchart, but it doesn't have Top gainers/losers data which are some of the Most sophisticated backtesting...

    good points. I have spent 5 yrs in learning sim and live and still continues. But i too many breaks due to ill health, so every time, is like starting over and that delayed building my system, but I do have one. it takes a lot than what it looks like

    most of us spend soooo much of time for years to learn how to do this. and that time has taken away my healthy life, like hobbies, family, friends beside money that hurts me more often !!! question often arise if it is worth or not

    No method or nobody can do this without drawdown/ setback, but it gets better if we stay "continuous" but is very tedious and affect health and other areas to do that
