    Photon???

What is this "Photon"? Has anyone ever heard of this order execution system? I saw it on Linda Bradford Raschke's web site. It looks like a nice trading setup (and no this isn't spam, I use IB and like it, but always looking to see if the grass is greener somewhere else.)...

    How do I in Q-CHarts...

Type in SP03H, then click the box that says "all sessions". The overnight (globex) won't show up in SP03M until after the rollover.

    Financial Media (TV)

I used to watch FNN. Thought it was great, free information. Then CNBC bought them out - watched it for another couple of years. Then came the internet, realtime charts, information etc. Anything you could get from TV you could get quicker from the internet. Then I realized how...

    Data Feed and Q Charts

It might be affected by how many chart windows you have open or how many monitors the workspace is spread across. I have heard a lot of conflicting information on this topic. Some people report no lag, most others a considerable lag.

Lol You Have Got To Be....

I'd like to have entry price on the main page as well. But, you can click on "Trades" and have it show up in its own window. You can set this up like with the Patsystem where you have multiple windows displayed.

    Q-Charts data today?

An interesting thing with the ctlr-alt-n: if you do it, then close the pop up window, then open it again - the servers show up as names instead of numbers. You can sort on them as well.

    Q-Charts data today?

Maybe someone with a reliable data source could buy them out - that would be ideal. DTN? Someone? Anyone?

The death of listed stock trading

It looks like it allows you to split the bid-ask. This will allow online traders to act as listed market makers. It would be a boon to daytraders the way it was when traders were allowed to split the bid-ask (and have it show up as best bid or ask) on Nasdaq. I don't think it is the...

Remember 100pt AH spike in ES on 2/5?

Well, a RAES like system may not be the perfect answer, but its better than your idea to eliminate overnight stops for position traders  :D Now that I think about it more: since emini spikes almost always occur in the 15-minute period after the cash market closes, perhaps up and down...

Remember 100pt AH spike in ES on 2/5?

The same way the CBOE uses the RAES system to go from electronic to the pit.

Remember 100pt AH spike in ES on 2/5?

----- 4. If the arb was done automatically by exchange computers, IB would lose out on arb commissions. I like you def, but there is no way that you can convince me that the arbs did their job when the ES - SP differential was that big. :)

    NYC Online Trading Expo

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the original owners of the show, Sugarman and Tim B. sold the show to the people who run the Money Show. I think the name was changed from the Daytrading Expo to the Online Trading Expo (to the best of my knowledge). Perhaps this also explains the change...

Remember 100pt AH spike in ES on 2/5?

The real problem here was that the Arbs did not do their job. The CME should take over the job of arbing during the 15 minute aftersession with a computerized arb. That way if the emini shoots up then the open-outcry (open-collusion) contract will also shoot up. Then it would be a valid...

    NQ vs full size ndx

Open outcry should really be renamed "Open collusion", because that is what is going on. When you can see in the pit what others are bidding - then you can punish them if they make too tight of a market by simply refusing to trade with them. No order flow = no income. Open outcry is a...

What book or class influences your trading today the most?

This book is for advanced traders. Its got all kinds of new and old tricks for short term trading. Its not a motivational type book, in fact its quite boring. But, like the Edwards and Magee books - you can pick it up and find something new every time. I've never heard anyone talk...

    use of BreakEven exits

Your stop should be placed near something logical like trailing support/resistance. Placing a stop at YOUR breakeven point is just vanity (ego protection). If your trailing stop gets taken out and you lose a small amount instead of breaking even - who cares? It doesn't matter how many...

    Zippo institutional activity

Its time to stick Saddam in a dog cage and lock him in the basement of the White House. Lets get it over with - and I'm sure every soldier, marine, airman and sailor is thinking the same thing.
