    Eurex to launch FX futures!?

The QM contract is horrible on IB. The spreads are big and you will only get a fill if someone in the pits can fill your order and get out of it at a profit instantly. I don't know much about the IPE contact but I would think that it would be better as it is from an all-electronic exchange. If...

    Eurex to launch FX futures!?

I will use this as an opportunity to again point out that IB should allow access to more options on futures. Eurodollars on globex is a no-brainer; there is lots of volume and the platform is all set up to go on TWS. Also option on the six major currency pair. However these currency options...

    IB and Eurodollar Spreads?

I always use globex for my spread orders but I was wondering if I use a smart order for my eurodollar spreads does IB then look to the Liffe to help get the best price?

    Euro FX Short Strangle

I tend to focus on the overnight market. I profit from congestion of the overnight market and then try to get out of my long options positions during the volatility of the pit open. Often I can make half of what I risk per session(although I don't really risk that much).

    Suggestion on brokers

I would recommend looking into trading "es" (e-mini sp500) instead of nasdaq stocks. The deal is just so much better for small independent traders.

German Dax.. I dont get it...

A lot of the companies on the dax are large multinational corporations that conduct a great deal of business outside of Germany. German economics have only slightly greater effect on dax companies than they would on SP500 or FTSE 100 companies. A good example of this is Deutsche Telecom. As...

    Euro FX Short Strangle

Sorry Prevail, I might have just revealed a little bit about myself 3 years ago. As far as spreading goes I always like to be in a limited risk situation. Lately though I having been long options and trading futures against my option position. Our risk preferences are likely a result of...

    Wheat and Soybean Outlook reports

You should stay away from trading before and after big reports. Even if some one handed you the report the night before you would have trouble deciding which way it is going to move the markets. On a different note does anyone know a good source for weather maps? I would like one that showed...

    Euro FX Short Strangle

Here is a guess at to what your situation is; You read some where that 95% of all options expire worthless so you decided to try to sell options in a market neutral fashion. There problem with this is that even if 95% of options on the euro futures expire worthless you probably do not have...

    US treasury Yield Curve

Back in the 1970's market commentators often used the expression "recycling petrodollars" to explain price moves. With the current oil prices there are a lot od petrodollars being generated but no one seems to talk about where they are being "recycled". In the 1970's these petrodollars went to...

is google really worth $300-350 a share?

Google is a short here. The thing is if you short it there will be a spike up on some silly news and you will cover at a loss convinced that it will keep going up. Only the most disciplined trader could profit from shorting google right now. Maybe if you have $1,000,000 in your account short...

    Best extended hours broker

If you want to trade "after-hours" you want to trade futures. ES trades quite a bit (70,000-90,000?) before 9:30 eastern. No stock on an ECN will even come close to this in terms of volume not to mention a much smaller spread on ES.

    CME currency market makers

I am 99% sure that the MM can't see your stops unless they get data data from you broker. IB has came on here before and said that Timber Hill has no access to IB order information but that doesn't mean that other brokers don't data mine there retail brokerage to help there MM. However, just...

Absolute safest place to keep money

Just a thought, in a worst case scenario if you go to town with a brick of gold you will end up in hot water. People will think that you have more and try to steal it from you.
