IMHO, if you're optimizing, you're already cheating yourself. And if you're doing it without slippage you're cheating yourself even more.

Hi shewenhao I wouldn't use db4o when I'm able to develo my own storage fitted for my needs. db4o is very intesting when dealing with a lot of different objects with huge graphs/ entities, but for something as simle as a Tick or Quote I would rethink it :) Take a look here ...
