You misunderstood me Movery. to the contrary, I strongly believe that it´s very important to incorporate s/r no matter what strategy you use. I´m just not sure how to use it all the time yet. Some situations are very clear, but others are still fuzzy to me. The only thing i´ve been watching...

i think the volume pattern - gaussians - "lies" a bit when there´s long shadows on the bars. There really isn´t any strong commitment at all from either bulls or bears, even though things seems clear when u monitor volume... at least thats how i look at it... /Stalker

that´s probably a good idea, easy to get information overload. I only look at candles, volume, channels and s/r. That´s all i´m gonna do for at least amonth before i incorporate something else. "the fine tune stuff" can wait.

I haven´t found tick useful, seems to be mostly for scalping, but i read in some thread that someone used it with 5-min bars. When there´s congestion he was looking for breakouts of the +-800 levels meaning that buy and sell programs kick in there. Supposed to be a way to see if the breakout...

i follow volentes "ym traders" thread closely, he is the expert on s/r and has answered a lot of questions for me...

the 10350-level on dow was holding for 2 days a couple of weeks ago if i remember correctly, so it´s resonable to expect a bounce. If the trend is too strong or not, well I´m not an expert, but there usually is at least one major correction of the trend during the first hours. The day after...

just to make things clear - my third entry/arrow is more based on the horisontal support than the channels, but when the left channel line and an s/r-level shows up at the same time, i think a trendfade is a high prob. entry if the trend is not too strong...

osho, it´s not a mechanical system. just draw the channels and look for nice set ups. You have to follow the "rules" by jack that you feel that you can handle. For example, I think wash-outs are a good idea, but jumping in and out of the market is to stressfull for me. I will use fixed stops...
